In the abstract, I agree with you, racial/ethnic/religious/lifestyle/other slurs should never be used lightly, period. Doesn't matter whether it's "Jew", "nigger", "fag", etc. They're all supposed to be awful words that you don't use in polite conversation. Sucks that some are becoming commonly-used slang, especially for people who fit the slur, but freedom of speech is a double-edged sword.

That said, when someone decides of their own free will and with no undue coercion to use the handle "Zealot" and ask for tolerance, it does make me laugh. I don't care if they're Jewish and protesting slurs against their religious/ethnic group. I don't care if they're Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Athiest, FSM, you name it. "Zealot" and "tolerance" go together about as well as "George W. Bush" and "genius level IQ".

Doesn't even matter if it was a StarCraft reference, since the term befits the little squirts to whom it's applied in-game.
