Wiki says when using Scorc. Gloves you get +5 MAB on MB and with +1 you get +6 MAB, can't you just get this full time with AHands/+1? I would have thought it would be a bit more but I guess the HQ is nice in that you don't have to pay 20m for cursed gloves-1.

um..I thought that AF2 were always more MATK than zenith+1 on MB?

I'm pretty sure that AF2 is the best hand armor on Magic bursts, could be wrong, but I think it edges out HQ zenith by a small amount.

I thought that the +0 gloves were the same as the +1 zenith mitts, but I never really looked into it much because like...no one magic bursts so who really cares.

Gloves add +damage not +MAB so yeah they've always been the best piece for MBs even if you have HQ zenith. However I'm seriously not aware there was any damage bonus increase when obtaining the +1.

We got a Wyrm belt. Off the second mob. That was the loot for the run.

the sorcerer's gloves+1 have the same "dmg added to burst" as the NQ ones. i thought i read somewhere that the dmg increase to bursts can vary anywhere between 7-12% added to your burst, but i wouldn't quote me on it.

Back when I actually played blm, AF2 seemed to make a decent difference over zenith NQ thats for sure. Fafnir feared my flood! Ahh the good ol days when fafnir actually put up a fight

Yeah, it's Wiki, but the 1.05 bonus is right from my experiences (on NQ):

Magic Burst Bonus

MB bonus is 1.0 for no MB and 1.3 for a 2-WS renkei, gaining 5% per extra WS in the renkei series (i.e. 1.35, 1.4 etc)
Sorcerer's Gloves multiply the magic burst bonus by 1.05.
Static Earring multiplies the magic burst bonus by 1.05.

I've never seen confirmation that HQ are better than NQ for magic burst bonus, on any forum/site I've frequented. I'm sure Haper would have found it on the boards I don't frequent if it existed.

actually, in my experience doing it recently, drops like that are the common, not the uncommon. Make sure you have a thf in every pt (especially blm pts) and just relax.

100% true. Load up on the TH, and it'll pay off. For reference, here's drop quantities for my LS's Bubu runs since December 2005: 1, 1, 2, 4, 1, 5, 3, 5, 8, 13, 9, 10. The combination of more farming time (90 minutes of post-MB farming is very common now, wasn't when we started) and putting a THF in every DD party we can has really helped our drop rates.

I've noticed the same...out of the last 3 Dynamis, Xarc>Tavnaz>Beau, the 2 outlands we did with a spread of THF's netted some nice AF (notably BLM hats) as well as a 500 Currency Run in both beauc & Xarc. Xarc was 2x100Byne,M.Silverx2, L.Jade off DL, then last nights Beaucedine yielded 2x100 Byne, 2x M.Silver, and an L.Jadeshell with 25min left. Was pretty insane...

Second Algol in a while that didn't freelot, suprisingly. First LS that claimed Cerberus wiped to it at like...80%, despite having an army of people there. The second CFH'd at about 55%, then we grabbed it and took it down from 100-0% .
