    power supply turbo fan

this is likely a dumb question, but the power supply I just bought has a turbo fan switch on the back, the only problem is I don't know when to use it and the "instructions" from the box is just the warranty info. if theres no dire consequences I can leave it on fulltime since I use noise canceling headphones. is anyone familiar with such? its this power supply, but I got it 50% off since the store was closing, the only difference that I can tell is its slightly louder which doesn't bother me due to my headset. /wall-o-text again

from the looks of it, it just turns on/off automatically depending on how much power you're drawing from it.

probably in a not so well ventilated area and/or with a heavy overclockled rig. if you dont have too manystuff inside the case. you are probably safe leaving it off.
