and yea, fansubbing and copyrights is a very LOL topic in the first place. fansubbers think their additional work on the source material make it their property. but as long as they don't charge and are providing a free service who really cares.

Uh... unknown fansubbing group? You're kidding right? Well if you aren't, have you checked the amount of people who download their Bleach/Naruto weekly, despite how "Angry, confused and bastard-like" they are? It's better quality then the other shit that gets put out by subs, if you ask me. The only ones close were Lunaranime when they did Bleach (which I have all of their subbing) and AnimeONE, which did a hell of a lot of Naruto, then dropped it when it became liscensed as well.

I honestly think we should be thanking them in our own little way; stop complaining and bitching. They don't HAVE to do the subbing, but they do and we take it all for granted.

And yeah, this is hillarious. You're right. There have been tons of "Wow, did you see what DB did thar?" Srsly. I take DB about as serious as the /b/ thread on 4chan. I just look past all their "news" and look at the work they put out. Hell, even the YHBT'd episodes of some of the anime have been gold. Blah, people will always bitch, moan, and complain I guess.

i got eps 8-9, a 273meg file in about 10 mins the day it came out >.> a far cry from 1-3 hours

i wasn't serious in the % i said (obviously) it is an interesting subject though.

Yeah, it depends on the connection obviously. Possibly someone doesn't know how to work bittorrent.. Might need to check firewalls and what not. =p I'm just like Bartylby.. I get mine in around 10 minutes, give or take just due to the amount of seeders/leechers on at any given time.

I think his point might also include that DB is Bleach/Naruto and nothing more. They produce high quality subs and do them very quickly, but in the end their popularity just rides on the anime.

You even said the only other group that came close did it by subbing Bleach.

As a comparison, I look to Kaizoku-fansubs as what I like in a fansub group. They focus on one anime because they enjoy it, not to milk its popularity for themselves. They don't constantly talk down to and threaten their fanbase, and they don't litter their site with vulgar, grade-school humor.

Not all torrent go at 100k/sec. You will get speed like this for the most popular one on certain website, but it's not always the case.

Yeah, I'm sure all your anime download go at 333k/sec and end in 10minutes (200megs in 10minutes = 333k/sec) I've downloaded anime at 120-130k/sec on bittorrent too, but it wont happen 3/4 of the times.

Tell me how to set your "firewall" (when router are generally the problem for slow bitorrent) >_> Or what magical bittorent client you use to get 300k/sec dl

Pretty much any anime that's coming directly from a fansubbing group as it comes out will be at least 200kb/s for the most part. Naruto/Bleach/Death Note I average 250+kb/s and my speed is not that wonderful (my upload max is 35-40kb/s before it slows my connection). It's the older episodes that take a while, but on stuff that is subbed within hours of it showing in Japan it's real quick to download.

Both (Elmer's point as well), those series are shit, and by looking at their list they didnt even start subbing till ep 50. They have little experiance and are only known to people who watch those unspeakable series. Just by looking around their site makes it seem like they suck each other off watching anime and think the stuff they do is funny.

Anyway, DB was formed when Anime-Heaven's Naruto subbing group left due to conflicts with the management right? I've never been part of the A-H community though, so I don't know exactly how long experience they had in the group before they left to form DB. I'm not defending them, just saying that they might have more experience than most people know.
