and the result? their arent over 12k killings with gun weapons every year

i can only feel sorry for the familys of those kids, they realy arnt the ppl who deserved this, those who do are never in danger and talk big shit on their high-horses

I really don't feel like I should be saying this, but just because of one shooting people are attacking the US and saying we're sick for allowing people to purchase guns. You're basing the actions of one person and stereotyping the rest of America based on this. I could say that all of Germany is sick because of Hitler, but I don't. I don't make that stereotype because I know Hitler was an extreme and that almost every German person isn't like that.

If the number of defensive gun uses are 3-4 times higher than illegal gun uses, what are the other 2-3 times against? Other legal guns?

Its not the NRA's fault that the parent put their gun somewhere where the kid could find it. Of course if the parent was in anyway intelligent they would warn their kids about the danger of weapons.

It's not a hard to deal with question. There are more than a few people here on this message board that go to VA Tech and post here. People whose friends or roommates may be dead. That's alot more in-depth than something you'll find on msnbc or cnn.

I actually just stopped watching the news about a half an hour ago. They were just showing the same video over and over with only one new thing as I flipped through three channels. Worst image I saw was a bloodsoaked side walk...

I found out about all this around 12. I had just woken up when a friend who goes to VT, a fellow FFXI player(Genosync/Synchro), called to let me know he was ok. He told me what was going on and I immediately got up and made my dad change the channel to the news. Last I heard from him he was rather upset and panicy about a friend he couldn't get ahold of and I wasn't exactly sure how to comfort him in a time like this. Apparently it was her dorm/class area...

I can't believe something like this could happen after they had a shooting that early. You'd think they would have locked down then.

I'm kinda glad that I didn't hear about all this first before he called, I know I would have paniced to the point of tears wondering if he was ok. Now I just worry for him because of his friends that might of been involved.

really? as in people with a random user name on a random game forum has more in-depth info than a credible news channel with minute-to-minute update from reliable sources confirmed to be on site during the shooting?
