Countries with better gun control laws don't have things like this happen at all. I wonder why that is? Shirley they can obtain arms illegal just like anywhere else, just as drugs are trafficked illegally into all countries.

So take one or both of those variables wrapped around kill out of the equation and the problem is solved.

PS - The "then leave this country" argument doesn't fly, I'd rather make this one safer.

Considering my roommate and I are watching the news and there are still some times when we're just like, "They don't know what the fuck they're talking about." Yes, I would say that some VT students would have something good to add to this.

Well, since im fortunate enough to work at desk with multiple computers and internet feeds, Ive head from different news sources different accounts.

Fox, Cnn, Msnbc all reporting different things.

I too would like to hear what people from VTech are saying.

ok, maybe im in the minority... but umm, I don't have a single weapon that was purchased or anything for protection or anything like that... I enjoy skeet shooting, and hunting. Then again I have no problems really with making it exceptionally hard to get a pistol or something like that, Mainly cause I have no reason to have one, I don't want one, so I have no passion for it.

and you know... I am glad some people have some sympathy for those who are trying to stop all this gun talk... the guns is not the issue, I have 31 ( fox says 32 ) peers dead now, from buildings and classrooms that I go to. I still don't know if the teacher shot was one of my teachers, most likely it wasn't... but yeah... It was more likely then not a teacher of one of my friends. I have spent many hours in west aj chilling with friends, and I have no fucking clue how many times I have walked by norris... yet some assholes just enjoy coming on here going "Oh shit more gun violence, guns are bad!!!" why not go start another topic along those lines and do your shit in there. Cause I give up with some people... And some of yall aren't even reading, bring up shit about protection... I know i had already mentioned many other reasons for owning a gun, and every single country I have ever been in had many like minded individuals. there is so much other shit you could tie around like this crap that guns are used for violent crimes, but when we tie things to those, you just start whining with other crap...

hit a thumb? or just grab it or what? pretty interesting advice if true
Its true, Its the basics of alot of martial arts weapon taking moves. Hitting the thumb at the right angle is all you need.
is it difficult to do correctly? you don't necessarily need your thumb to hold a gun either do you?

A tragedy occured... maybe it's more comforting for some people to peruse their favorite gaming forum and talk with other people, anonymous or not, than to stare at a bunch of talking heads on TV.

You're not hurting my feelings. You're annoying me. I'm at work, so fuck your "turn on the TV" argument right in the ear. The websites all say the same shit, and yes, it's nice hearing stuff directly from VT students posting here.

i can understand that, what i can't understand is how people think news in this thread can be more credible or with better information than anywhere else

I know I prayed for the people that lost friends and family members today at lunch because when it's all said and done, people are dead.

Please if you want to discuss guns / violence / gun laws create a new thread or something.

My prayers do go out to you though, I do have a general knowledge of where these buildings are and stuff, I dated a girl at tech for awhile and I thought of going to the school as well.

not difficult, at the thumb is a block of nerves that will hurt the gripping action in your hand, but if you're that close, just go ahead and jam your keys, pen, etc. in his eyes or neck.

you know, If you don't believe I go to school here at tech, thats cool, ignore me and just shutup maybe? If there are people here that believe me, and I can give them some information I find out from whatever friends/teachers I know, then I am happy to do so. If you don't believe me, then seriously, just gtfo and talk about something elsewhere.

    edit:
oh and knowing what to do and acting is completely different things... Other then for finally setting a date for my wedding, This semester has sucked for me ( oh and other then for grades). Bout 3 weeks ago I was in a fairly serious car wreck, got hit by another truck, popped us over on our side, sliding... yeah... fairly... well unfun... sure I acted I did the stuff I needed to do and got everything taken care of... but I don't know that I would jump at someone with a gun. Its a completely different story, I have been in circumstances were there were guns pointed at me... I sure as hell played dumb and one case I was able to just play like I was still asleep. I later found out they were people there to protect us ( we were in some fairly rough parts of those countries ) but I didn''t know it at the time... I would like to say that I would be able to jump someone, to save people... but... this is just... I still can't believe it... its just sureal.

    this is gonna be fun

you fucking said that people shouldn't fucking argue about related topics because you want fucking news from fucking people who fucking claim they are fucking VT students so we can fucking trust their fucking baseless fucking claims based on fucking good faith and it's fucking better to listen to fucking internet fucking rumors than having a fucking good discussion on what people fucking think about this fucking incident

    you fucking retard

I live in VA, and am frantically trying to call the pack of high school friends I know that attend Tech...

My God. Nothing is more disgusting than the cruel paroxysms of a sociopath...

Whatever you choose to believe in (and I don't mean to sound self-righteous), take some time to pray for the victims.

Any idea what the motives behind the attacks were?
