dunno if the guy who lives in EAJ knows him or not. pretty horrifying.. the guy gave us JR's for hosting a nerf gun fight and a lot of people didn't like him but damn he didn't deserve that.


Edit: and the news channels have been going off on the whole "students jumping out of windows thing" from what i understand it was two students very early on. They like to mention it a lot because it reminds people of the columbine shooting but it doesn't compare to the number of people jumping out of windows at Columbine.

but i just have to say those last sentences sorry.

If you want to defend your family, go learn martial arts or go in some self-defense class. Send your children to Karate or w/e and tell them how fucking dangerous guns are.
And dont fucking defend those weapons that put your family and you in danger in the first place.

What is easier, teaching every parent, every child and every fucking idiot how dangerous guns are and that they arent 'good' or 'cool' or just dont fucking produce guns and let those idiots get them.

And with not-deadly weapons i meant weapons that simply CANT kill (or very hardly... you can kill ppl with a pen if you want to). Guns are very very easy deadly for everyone, even if the shooter cant aim he can still hit the body and the victim will most likly be heavy injured.

Again i feel sorry for the familys and friends of those students.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows how dangerous guns can be. I don't know if you just got done watching a kung-fu movie marathon or something, but Karate is not going to fucking solve anything when it comes to defending your family against someone who has a gun. Sending your child to karate classes is not going to change the fact that people are still going to produce guns, buy guns, and use guns whether it be violently or for sport.

We were sitting in class and all of a sudden heard loud banging noises — thought it could be construction. Heard screaming through the walls and everyone started to panic. Heard shots down the hallways, everyone started to panic and jumping out of the window. We heard almost 40 or 50 shots. They were going on from the time we heard them and jumped out the window to almost two minutes later. Window was two or three stories. When I landed I was in a daze, standing outside of the building. Then I heard shots going through glass, that's when it hit me that I had to get out of there.

As soon as we heard the shots, people in class started calling 911, they were on the scene two minutes later.

I jumped out of the window and ran into Patten Hall, the neighboring building right across from it.

I was in a mechanics class, engineering class. They sounded like they were coming from the classroom next door. We could hear people screaming "Oh my god" from next door.

One of my friends called me to make sure that everyone is OK. I'm told that they're in stable condition, but some of them got shot. They told me my prof was shot in the face and didn't make it but we're not sure.

I got the e-mails, but my impression was it was prank or nothing serious — hadn't heard anyone was apprehended or actual bombs were found.

We live in a pretty peaceful community, this is a total shock.

I feel a little bit numb, I've never been in a situation like this before.

Classmate broke his leg jumping out of window, he was able to crawl away from the building, I'm pretty sure he made it to the hospital.

No, I had no idea another shooting had taken place.

I did Karate for 11 years and got up to becoming an assistant master, and I wouldnt mess with anyone with a gun unless I knew I was going to die anyways. Knife yes, other weapon yes, gun no.

Unless there is some sort of POS hack in real life, there's not much you can do to stop a gunman shooting at you out of melee range. (which I'm sure plenty of shootings were from at least a few feet away)

The student most likely was present for the lockdown last year (escaped inmate) he probably premediated over this and knew the procedure. So he shoots only one person to make it an "isolated incident" knowing that police and authorities will focus on that area, leaving clear the opposite side which he made into a killing ground. All of this seems pre-meditated.

It seems plausible. One thing about lock-down: it is mostly just the dorms that have the electronic card locks. These are designed to keep people who don't live in said dorm out of the dorm during certain hours of the day, during football games, and during times like this. Unfortunately, the academic buildings do NOT have such door locks, atleast not on their outsides. Some of the newer buildings might have this precaution, but Norris Hall just has regualr wooden doors for entry. So the initial shooting could just have been a distraction while he warmed up for the real shooting, as he could just walk right into Norris Hall unhampered if the campus security is occupied elsewhere.
