Leeching in Besieged

I usually use pretty much all the relevant beneficial temporay items, find a mob thats being attacked. Full buff etc, chain spell spam banish on it, convert use a revitaliser and chainspell banish again. (for about 3 levels of divine skill ups per besieged)

if I can be bothered to do anything else at the time I cure a few of the melees who are about to die and use the demoraliser type temp items, raise a couple of people and throw a couple of debuffs like slow etc.

Then I afk in a corner or something for full exp. Might be connected to your level. Try what the other people do.

But yeah I know what you mean with mnk, I can just two hour one mob revitalier then afk for pretty much full exp.

You can always Bio II/Poison II monsters as things go along- I've spent entire Besiegeds doing nothing but DoT things as an RDM/BLM and come up with a full exp buffer.

It's a heckuva lot easier to max your exp with a PT, though. Buff everyone, toss your Heal Powder/Mana Powder as needed + temp items and actually do something. Popping those spell booster temp items, finding a mob and Chainspelling it with nukes is actually pretty fun, I pretty much froze a Mamool Ja Hussar down to about half health with Blizzard III's and those, then did a Convert, Revitalizered and bombed another one. That'll max you out.

I skill up staff as BLM/WHM in besieged all the time (lucky if I land maybe 20 hits the entire time) and pretty much use my MP for Stoneskin, curing myself, and reraise and it's easy to get max points. I've tried nuking all my MP, using a wizards drink and megaelixir, nuking all that MP, manafont, revitalizer, etc etc. And didn't get max. You get points for any action that you do, including whiffing at monsters. Pretty much any job of any level can get max points by meleeing the whole time, provided they stay alive enough.

Along the same lines what is the min level job you can take in and get max xp on?

Level one (WHM). It'd have to be an awfully long Besiged though, considering how much time you'd spend Curing, getting MP back, Curing, repeat...preferrably with food and plenty of juices for MP recovery.
