I wouldn't even really care if they made server transfers. Ever since i shifted the first time from sylph to midgard. I've kinda wondered if it was the right idea. Was a very hasty decision. That was based upon short term friendships rather than what the future would hold. I'd rather be back on sylph where i started my days of war/whm. Than on midgard wasting my life away LFG in whitegate all day. Any who i think that the amount of world shifts needs to be limited.

Also i haven't skimmed the entire thread. But all of those accounts that have very well equipped jobs. Of gear they got while in your ls then sold it. This would be a great thing for them. They can leave the server where they are known as a bought account. And then put on a front on another server as if they have been playing for day one. I look at that as a considerable issue.

    No

NO! People getting what they want from an ls, or stealing it from their "Friends" and then worldshifting and forgetting all their problems. Maybe have the option to do it once and thats it, if you don't like your new server then you are SoL.

You know, it'd be cool if SE would actually have some sort of interface that you could say "Where did this person come from", so that you could see all the transfers a person's been through (attached to the Content ID, I guess). There's of course other stuff that'd be cool to see here, like character stats, job levels, equips, etc.

But who the fuck am I kidding?

Edit- I am totally for server transfer if you can only move 1 time via payment.
Yeah my buddy told me he was a shady character.. He also leads a Red Sky LS called Zakkenyo(sp).

Hey I have a question about Claimed, is it true you ask for ppl's account info when they join the LS?

Heard that rumor lol... Granted my buddy isn't really experienced in the end-game scene, since he doesn't have sea access or any other job than MNK lol.

    **Edit**

Do I have a chance to join claimed if I switch servers?

I'd rather see them offer the option to split your account. My bro and I have been playing on the same account since release and it's getting kinda lame.

It seems the poll is split on

    40%- Yes
    60%- No

I wonder why the Yes/No ratio in posts looks like like 1 to 10.

I voted yes. Not for having friends on other servers or having a bad reputation, but because I think it's the most positive option SE can do to give players the feeling of refreshing their game play without throwing away 2-3 years of hard efforts by starting over from Lv1 on a different server.

I have been on my server since the NA PC release and I can say I'm ready for a new environment. If feels good to pick a world pass (or just pick a server now) and meet new people without already knowing of their reputations, linkshell monopolies, or just whatever. It's a completely different feeling and experience than just playing a mule on your regular server. The only thing that has kept me from completing a character to 75 with finished missions on a secondary server is the fact that i've spent the last 3 & 1/2 years shoveling effort into my main character. I can never throw that away.

I am not worried about the inflation or deflation of the server economies. I know it will be a little crazy at first, but it truly will balance itself out. It will also bring good players to other servers, not just runaway douchebags. Most of you are worried about end-game and greed related issues, but every server will have those people with or without the server migration. Not all the douchies are going to flee to the same exact server!! Also, there is more to the game than end-game. I think this is a great opportunity for those players who are not heavily involved in the every day drawn out drama as we all see on here.

I dont ask you to agree with me, but i do ask that you respect the positive side to the migration than just the greed.

I can honestly tell you that it's not nearly as fun as you think it's going to be. There's only two scenarios, really, and I've been through both of them. The first is that you have a really good friend on another server, and if you migrate you'll probably be joining their HNMLS. Chances are you'll have a lot of fun with said HNMLS, but because you didn't develop your character from scratch on that server, you're not going to have a whole lot to do. If your linkshell isn't doing something, you're not doing something. I've been playing on Leviathan for almost three months now, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I do not know a single person that isn't in my linkshell. Not a one. The second option is that you either have no friends on your new server, or you have friends on your new server but can't join their linkshell for whatever reason. Prepare to spend a lot of time being really, really lonely. It's a lot harder than you think to make friends at 75, especially since your character has probably matured on another server to the point that you can't really get along with people who think 20 cap Garrison is difficult. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're better than those people, I'm just saying you're going to find it difficult joining a random social, because chances are most of the members in said social are going to annoy you. So for anyone that's world shifting because they "want a fresh start," or feel like they need something new to make the game exciting again, you're not going to find what you're looking for with world shifting.

I vote yes if it allow you to freely change server. It's gonna put an end to "my war is stronger than your war, but we can't parse against each other" argument.

If it's a one time thing, than I guess I would vote yes again. It's been a while since interesting drama was posted and this option would have some serious potential.

Sort of on topic, Linsivi just reminded me of it on AIM. Usually when you talk to the World Shifter during population shifts (i.e. Hades/Remora), the World Shifter says the following:

    Code:
You will be unable to choose the World to which you wish to emigrate. For more information on Worlds that we are accepting emigration applications for, please check the current PlayOnline news.
However, this is also present, but I'm unsure when it was added. It has to be after the last World Shift, because Hades and Remora are listed.

    Code:
Which world will you emigrate to?
    I've changed my mind.
    Bahamut
    Shiva
    Titan
    Ramuh
    Phoenix
    Carbuncle

I seriously doubt that's the case, considering the XBox 360 and PC patches are completely separate from eachother.
