The dangerous people are the one's out there doing all the crazy shit, not the 300 pound fat guy playing games in his basement eating cheetos.

Likely that if someone is dumb enough to play a game and think "hey I wanna kill like that guy" they could easily do the same because of a movie, TV show, music or even a fucking book.

Could you imagine a world so easily lead like that? After the first season of 24 I bet the population would've been cut in half by all the Jack Bauer wannabies.

Clearly this is why we have Suicide Bombers running over hookers and taking their money back.

Rush Limbaugh has some opinions on this.

CALLER: What I really think is an issue is video violence, video gaming. I will guarantee you, I'll bet my last dollar in my pocket, that this shooter will be found to have been a compulsive video gamer, and when people are living that kind of lifestyle -- and college students do this a lot.

RUSH: (sigh) Let's say you're right. Not every video gamer goes out and murders 33 people on the college campus though. There's more to this than that. We can find all kinds of societal problems and ills, but the fact of the matter is that whatever you would look at as a bad influence -- video games as you mentioned -- it may desensitize people, but it doesn't turn everybody into mass murderers.

Not really a new or unique point(as it's been made several times in this thread), but at least someone out there isn't rallying behind the "Games did this" retardation that's going around.

It doesn't matter how many disturbing things we find out about these people after they're gone, somehow a joystick taught people precision aiming.

You know America has fallen when Rush Limbaugh starts to sound reasonable compared to everyone else.

I noticed that the other day too.. back in the day he sounded like a whackjob and even though he is the same guy he sounds a lot more sane compared to the average person on fox news or cnn.

I can't believe people are using Videogames as a scapegoat.

Everyone knows it's the jews fault.

Where there is a school shooting, Jack Thompson will appear to blame videogames:

My favorite parts have to be where he talked about training on Doom and a "flash version of GTA" to practice for school shootings...

It's an excuse. You still have a choice whether or not to shoot all those people, GTA didn't tell you to fucking do it.

Like I said before, if SMB makes you wanna go on a rampage and kill all the monkeys you see, you would probably be angered and influenced by a whole number of things. So it's not the games but just the people...

Video games don't create violent thinking, it's your brain that does. When I lose a game of whatever I don't automatically go think "I'mma kill something related to this game", that's crazy.

I'd rather just blame the parents poor, middle class, or rich.

It never can be the parents, becasue they can do no wrong.

“(I)’m gonna (expletive) bring a gun to your school and kill you and K (another female student) and everybody you love. It’s gonna be VT all over again,” 20-year-old Andrew Rosenblum allegedly wrote in an e-mail to the victim just hours after 32 people were gunned at Virginia Tech.

    Washington Post: OPPS

This is funny (not what happened @ VT). Washington Post says he played CS in HS yesterday. Then they remove it.

Link to what PyramidHead just wrote

At least they got the sick fuck before something bad happened.
