So like, I'm coming out of school, bored as fuck with no material for the long train ride ahead. I go to gamespot(stop?) and for the first time in over a year+, I decide to buy a PSP game to keep me busy.

I pick metal gear solid, portable ops over killzone and take it to the register. Give the guy the game and a $50 and he ask me for ID. At first I think I'm paying with my credit card but forget that that I lost it...I tell the guy.. I don't have an ID... He then says "I can't sell mature games without ID." I look at him and tell him, "Do I look like I'm under 18?!"

He then says, "Sorry I can get fired."

I ask for my $50 back and leave with my tail tucked under...

With $50 you could probably get some drugs, or maybe even a gun and ammo if you go to the right people. Besides, videogames are a bad influence. You're better off.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the shootings on the news was "HOW WILL /b/ REACT?"

I think video games are a way to prevent going to kill someone because it's a way to vent out your frustration. If I'm pissed at someone it's really easy to just go on CS and shoot kids...but I'd never, EVER do that in real life.

That's my stance as well. Although Paintball would be an acceptable alternative as well.

Not even "Pong" had been invented at that time.
