Exoduso, how tall are you by the way?
And wow @ four months for back surgery recovery, that would suck. I was going nuts for two weeks with my recovery, but maybe ours were different lol.

I had a soccer injury that further damaged my already small but existant scoleosis... I was in the hospital for 5 days, after that I was on vicodin at home for about 2 months, after that I could pretty much do everything by myself but I didn't leave the house unless it was for a check up with my surgeon because the bumps on the road hurt like fuck every time we drove over one.
On the plus side, my surgeon says it was the most successful surgery he's done in about 20 years, and I never even needed physical therapy because I healed by myself so easily and made a full recovery. Before he said I might not be able to do some stuff like shifting my upper body from left to right etc., but i've got full movement and been playing soccer again for about 6 months now, even though i'm still not actually playing any official stuff since i'm still working on re-working those back muscles little by little.
Prior to surgery I was 5'8", now after 2 years and 1 back surgery i'm about 6'0". I sat inside the IS and it seemed pretty good, didn't feel clustered or anything so it's not THAT small.
Ahh. I had spinal fusion on my lumbar spine to my tailbone. A few vertibrae were sliding to the right and pinching my spinal cord, made it really uncomfortable in my right leg. Surgeon said it would've happened regardless of sports, but the fact I was playing football sped it up some. Was in the hospital two weeks and in a child's hospital for another two weeks for recovery (was 13 at the time of surgery).
Anyway I'm 6'5" so it's hard for me to fit comfortably in most cars, and I prefer cars over SUVs or trucks. As long as the IS doesn't drastically change, maybe I'll have one when I'm older lol.
Yeah see, my entire back was opened up, and I now have 2 metal poles and a couple of big screws at the bottom of the back and stuff, the x-ray looks pretty sick lol.
But meh, I got over it, and now 2 years later it's like it didn't even happen...no pain or anything.
Yep lol, four rods and four screws for me. Can't really bend at the waist but that's fine, everything else is good. Haha actually when I went for physical therapy I saw my ex-girlfriend and my back brace that connected to my right leg locked up while I was on the treadmill and made me fall off of it. God that was embarassing, probably the worst part of the surgery.
Speaking of cars though, I'll reinforce this entire thread:

Damn, so sexy.
Gimme.
And I can bend with both my knees locked, it just looked weird because the poles make my back completely straight heh... it took me a few months to master it, since it's all weird and I kept bending my body forward in the beginning and my parents kept telling me to stand up straight, so that was kind of weird getting used to. And the whole "having my back completely straight even though i'm leaning forward on the table" kind of thing was kind of annoying at first as well, but now it's like nothing is wrong. I can do all the stretches without any problems, even though it was extremely difficult in the early going.
Never needed physical therapy though, which is why I think my doctor/surgeon is god himself in diguise.
350 by far bro.
If you can afford both why go the cheapest way? I usually lol when I see people with 250's. It appears a car that people have to just say they have a Lexus, but can't really afford it and just want that L on their car.
350 is a lot nicer, faster, and has AWD right?
btw, what is the IS-F?
Some 08 car they're releasing I believe.
Check lexus.com in their upcoming section, but I don't like its front.
is 350, there is no doubt.
Lol, he was actually going to get the pearl one, but he would have to wait for 2 months... so he just got that since it only took 2 weeks for the car to be ready.Originally Posted by Exoduso
As for the IS-F, it's like a fully loaded special edition IS-350.
Yeah it seems like the dealership here doesn't have many 350s either, you need to order them ahead of time so I plan on going in there about a month before my lease is due on the mazda so i'll make sure the car is ready by then with my own personal specifications.
BTW, does the IS have the automated seating thing? where you press a button and it saves your mirror/seat setting? My dad has it in his LS460L, but wasn't sure if the other models had it too.
Yeah, you usually you have to order the car a few weeks in advance, as for the auto-seat settings, no they don't have thatOriginally Posted by Exoduso
, here's everything it has, http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/features/interior.html
Not a big deal, just means my mom doesn't get to drive it (all the better for me heh)...
And woot for the bluetooth technology, that thing seriously kicks ass in my dad's car...same with the backup camera heh.
UGH I WANT IT ALREADY, FUCKING TIME NEEDS TO MOVE FASTER. ;; I was actually considering just letting the Mazda stay here so my sister can drive it for her permit crap (which ends in July as well, which is more the reason why my parents want me to wait until then), but then I would have to still pay for the car/insurance on the mazda while, and I would just be wasting 800 bucks a month on a car that will sit in my garage for 95% of the week.
I actually don't like the front end of the IS-F either but the rest of the car is so sexy to me that I don't care
Yes, but I'd rather get my new IS 350 in July than have to wait even a day longer and stick with my retarded car.
I just want a new car period![]()
Yuck, the front end of that IS-F is garbage..
How much are you looking at for the fully loaded 350 Exo? 35?
Father has the ES, it's a really smooth ride, very nice luxury features as well. I personally don't really care for cars at all, but I got to drive both the IS and the ES for a bit. The IS was definetly better looking and sporty, I'd probably go for that for your 20s. It had a harder "grip" and handling which I actually prefer.
My middle aged father on the other hand wanted something comfortable and smooth, he went with the ES. Either way, they are nice cars.
Um, the fully loaded IS350 will probably come out to be about 43k, which should be brought down to about 39-40 since they really seem to want us to buy it from them badly lol... so yeah, pretty good deal... about 550 in monthly payments for a 3yr lease.Originally Posted by Po
However, does anyone know how much I'm looking at as far as insurance is concerned? i'm paying about 400 for my mazda 6 right now (which is approx. 380 a month in lease payments..)
