If you went as far as to look through her phone messages, then somewhere deep in your subconscious mind you consider the relationship to be already over. People only spy when they: are naturally jealous and possessive and shouldn't be allowed near other people, have major trust issues and shouldn't inflict their dysfunction onto other people, are nosey (or "nebby" as we say in these parts) old women, or they believe on a primal level that things are through.

Nah, im not possesive and like quicklet said her phone was just lying there and I picked it up suspecting nothing. It was just there saying LOOK AT ME, so I did and was like zomg wtf...

I did talk to her though and were cool, she knew something was bothering me. We've lived together for almost two years so she prolly knows mne better than anyone. Thats why I was all concerned about it.

On the other hand im gonna say I do actually have a trust issue and she and I both know where it came from. Long story short friend borrows car(and i mean BEST of friends, knew the kid for 11 years) police come arrest me, say im a danger to the community. I end up in detention for 28 days (juvie is like a bad summer camp). 28 days later friend walks in shackled, I get a pat on the and an I'm sorry. I fliiped out and also got a 14 week andger management course lol. To this day I wish I could have sued the department but I had no way of proving I didnt do anything. Edit this was years ago im not a juvenile anymore.

I have no problem being just friends with women, but it doesn't stop that thought from entering my mind at some point. Maybe it changes when I'm older, but from personal experience and conversations with friends it just seems to be the case.
