Since summer is around the corner I was thinking of buying some rollerblades for the summer. Its been at least four years since I've had a pair so I've fallen out of the loop to what's good and what brands are the best.

Price is not that much of an issue as long as we're not going above $200.00. I'm looking for really any kind of rollerblade. I need advice on brands, types and what to look for when trying to find a pair.

I haven't seen anyone rollerblading in like 4 years, but I guess that's not the point. When I played roller hockey as a kid, I used Bauer.

But for the summer, I really have to say that I think getting a longboard is a better idea. Easier to stop yourself from eating shit and makes you look like alot less of a tool.

Any Saloman type of blade is usually of really high quality, and you can get a really good pair for 150~.

I use Mission skates for Roller Hockey.. Have had the same pair for like 6-7 years.. Still great skates.

I'd definitely reccomened them. They have a ton of different price ranges. For something more towards your price range hit up a sporting goods store like Modells or Dicks and check them out.

Only time people should be on roller blades is for playing hockey.

And go with the Mission, you won't be upset.

its not the blade that makes the ride but the wheels and the bearings.

just find a pair that really comfortable, and not too heavy. then upgrade the wheels and bearings to something with a higher abec rating and wheels for what you want to do.

EDIT: and for god sake remove the damn brake off the back, learn to T brake its much safer and more controlled haha

Are you just trying to get recreational skates? Or were you planning on hockey or aggressive inline skates?

Rollerblade has been making decent brands of skates for a while. And as said before, Solomon and Bauer make good ones too. If aggressive skates are your thing, Razors, Roces, and Solomon make really good ones. I used to do that kinda stuff, but I picked up skateboarding after and I liked it a lot more.

Why do they even put that brake on the back? It's like they want you to fall.
