At the following time, we performed a version update of FINAL FANTASY XI.

We have received numerous reports where a player charmed by Notorious Monster "Pallas" was being attacked by other players in the area for the purpose to steal the claim. This issue was causing conflicts among the players. As a temporary solution, the following update was performed.

might as well make pallas 100% drop now. any job can solo it now .

Lets be frank, all charm ever really did was allow people to kill you and/or steal your get.

Pallas is easily soloable, even with the bat.
However, the bat is called unclaimed, so any asshole could simply kill the bat, wait for you to be charmed, then kill you and your NM.

Yeah... making the bat pop claimed would seem to be a solution that made more sense.

The whole 'soloing with two monsters at once' thing comes into play.
The fight isn't short, you neglect one, it's turning yellow.

The idea is to keep them or anyone else from doing the same to you.

To reiterate, I don't deal with poppable NMs often, but I'm pretty certain if you focus on one subject while the other isn't being targetted, it'll go yellow.


Anyway, why do you care? It's already 200k on my server, alky is the big money.

My *R/Ex drop and move real drop to a BC* sense is tingling... Just means that they know there's a problem, haven't decided how to fix it so they're stopping the GM calls by doing this till they figure it out. 50:50 chance they either do something to the drop that makes it less likely people will try to steal in the first place (r/ex 100% drop), or that he'll just keep re-summoning pets.

This use to be a GS on Quetzalcoatl, one of the last places you could still still kill rmt is now gone .

Ya know, all they had to do to fix this was make Palla insta-depop if a player charmed by him is killed.

i was thinking that SE would reformat the entire charmed player deal cause im sure they have gotten alot of complaints, besides pallas, of people killing an innocent charmed player.
