No, I'm saying each rampart goes to a specific room and you spawn at a specific position. Thats where my map marker is. I've always seen us come to the same marker weither we see NM/drops or not. Now I have not checked 100% but i would wager the pop cycle is just random and whatever makes it 'on' does not cause you to suddenly be in a different room/floor.
Go into rampart Place down map marker. Thats your spot. If you ever 'not' go to that place then this "different room/rampart/position" theory is valid; else its not true.Originally Posted by Dakana
based on very thin evidence it's looking very strongly like there's just set rooms you port to as you conjectured.
gate: south 2nd floor
beez: north 2nd floor
zeeb: southwest 3rd floor
perymcnopop: southeast 3rd floor
unsurprising conclusion. best test of if it relates to day would be 2 groups consistently going in at the same time and targeting the same ramparts. if both pop reliably then it's conclusively day/time/date/etc linked. if not, it's linked to something relating to run. i have no idea what that could be (dumb luck, who/what job opens doors/chests, number of chests opened, alignment of mars in the seventh house of the celestial porta potty, etc.) but ruling in or out date/time/day would be a major step forward.
this has a very serious financial impact too. if we can figure out how to turn "on" the ramparts and time our entry, we could get say 6-7 pouches in a single run easily enough. figure about 12.5 alex per pouch, 5k an alex, that's 438k almost for a night's effort. split 6 ways, that's a nice chunk of change to pick up while farming gear too. alternatively, if you could do peryton for say 4 pouches then boss, you could be seriously rolling in dosh. assuming you can get linen pouches to drop. we're something like 0/15 on that drop.
I want to say its more 1st+2nd = 3rd floor and 3rd+4th = 2nd floor. Which from a programming standpoint you can then leave the current floor 'as is' and load/transfer players to a different area.
Sadly its only about 3k here =~.~=
I'd just be happy to know the spawn mechanics for Mad Bomber.... Almost to a point where our shell JUST needs items from it. Been lucky the last few runs, 2 ramparts of which were nice and showed us 5 GW each... 0/9 on 35 drops (one GW was final pop to annoy us...) Such a waste when going on a BR and have to turn it into a "lets just farm another one for drites cause MB wasnt up".
wut you said. 2, 3, same thing, right?
what i'd really like to know too is what EXACTLY makes the flans de-spike. could you lowman or better yet solo the flans and pop the rampart solo? also, i've seen 5 mobs and an NM sitting up before on a rampart (4 mobs spawned then NM spawned, then the 5th) so are we 100% sure that simply holding 5 mobs up will prevent the NM from having a chance to pop?
