Oh shit, looks like im going to jail.

sure, give him psychological help. but if people are arguing that the classmates are pussies and they should have said "wow, interesting opinion. nice to know frank. NEXT" then you're fucking crazy.
If you go to college, and you're not used to this sort of thing... I'd like to know where you go prz?

How many times do I need to repeat its equivalence to the airport scenario before you stop ignoring the fact that they are exactly the same thing?

I still hold, that at least 90% of the world's population could use some psychological help, but hey, wait, no, "I'M NOT CRAZY!".
Remember that scene in Fight club where brad pitts character gets the shit kicked out of him .He just covered in blood fucks with that fat guy.

I had an episode like that in soft more year of high school, funny shit wish we had cellphone videos back then, but anyway needless to say i got suspend for 2 weeks i think and he got punished for like 1 week of detention.

Funny how thoughts get punished alot more then actions now-a-days

An airport does not = a class discussion forum...an airport doesnt understand context when something like that is completely random. We have no idea the context of what this kid said, just some students who either didn't like what he said, or felt genuinely threatened. None-the-less, the environment of each place are completely different.

When will it become clear to you, that the statements that this guy made, are done all the time and are not punished with such severity. This is simply a scenario were Americans get their feathers ruffled once it hits them that shit happens.

I guess he just said the wrong thing, at the wrong time.

my one comment on this piece of news itself is that

if that shooter had been a terrorist, then he was almost as successful a terrorist as the guys that hijacked those planes on 9/11

    and that's really, really sad

What context is there to understand when you tell a room full of people "I often get angry enough to kill 32 people"?

Well, it was stupid of him to talk like that when people are thinking of Vtec, other than that, you're in a school, you're rights aren't the same in that building.

Because of the proximity of this event to the Vtech incident, it could be understood that these students overeacted to his comment. It would have been better to have him take psychological help, then to call the cops on him, and have him go loonier.

Maybe it was smart of him to say that. Maybe people will pay closer attention to the warning signs in the future, and this kid can get some help to deal with his anger and emotional problems before it's too late.

    huh?

During a class discussion Tuesday of Monday's massacre at Virginia Tech, Max Karson "made comments about understanding how someone could kill 32 people," university police Cmdr. Brad Wiesley said.
looks to me like a discussion of behavior, where someone shared his educated opinion..... so nobody is allowed to do that unless you are a certified criminal psychologist?

that isn't an actual expression of rage and does not hint at anger / emotional problems. What this person said was clearly not said jokingly, he probably really does. If he was just joking, then he's just an idiot and maybe this will teach him to grow up. If he wasn't joking, then the right action was definitely taken

Did you read this part also?

Karson, who turns 22 on Thursday, said he was "angry about all kinds of things from the fluorescent light bulbs to the unpainted walls, and it made him angry enough to kill people,"

The article never mentioned his expression when he made the comment.

    Jumping to conclusions much?
