People need to get over the fact that Ledger played a gay guy. He also played a knight. Do you expect him to wear armor and carry a lance in every movie? That said, I've never really seen him put on a performance that was extraordinary, but I liked the first movie enough that I'll trust the makers of the sequel and adopt a wait-and-see attitude.

I have to admit, I think that joker looks a lot more like Ledger than the first one did. I was dubious about that one from the start. Not sure how I feel about him being the joker, I'm not a big fan of him as an actor. Batman needs more Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow. He was very, very good in the "first" film.

I'm pretty sure the Scarecrow isn't done regarding the new Batman movies. He didn't even really become the Scarecrow until he was sprayed with his own stuff and went completely crazy.

From things that have been said from the people in charge of the movie, The Joker in this movie is supposed to be seriously twisted. Way beyond anything he has been in past renditions.

They've actually revamped this script several times from my understaning.

Orginally, the Joker wasn't going to be the "main villian" in #2, he was just going to be a minor annoyance and they would work up to the epic battle for the 3rd movie.

Now apparently he is the main baddie and they're going to work Harvey Dent into the pic for the third movie.

And Ledger will do a great job. Much like they made the focus of Batman Begins true to the Batman character, they're doing the same with the joker.

More about his eyes, then the manacial smile you'd see in the cartoons.

Yes, this movie will be the same everything except for the fact that Maggie Gyllenhaal(sp?idc) is supposedly replacing Katie Holmes.

Maggie Gyllenwhatever has a face I just cant help but stare blankly at, and it's not because she's pretty.

But Katie Holmes is a mess so I won't miss it, afk watching Batman Begins again, this is the only DC comics based movie that I've ever really WANTED to watch more than once.
