Do you suspect the mystery gift will be pkmn 491 or 492? Also the link you provided doesn't necassarily say the hours this tournament goes on for, is it all day? and I'm wondering can you get the gift still if you came late for the tournament (I would assume yes), I am trying to work it out so I can get that day off to go; there's 1 5 minutes from my house.

The PKMN forums I'm at are buzzing with pissed players. Anyone who has:

*3+ Masterballs
*4+ shinies
*Arceus, Darkrai, shaymin

Will be treated as cheaters and denied entry off the bat. Look like I'm out, as I haver Arceus and Darkrai entries

Isn't 4 shinies not as impossible as it sounds because of that weird chaining thing? I thought that was something built into the game.

If you have 4 shinies cause of that I commend you for your bravery but like 80% of shinies are hacked, especially the ones people use on teams with "just the right" personality and super awesome IVs etc etc.

Um... there are people at Serebii Forums who have gotten 8+ shinies on one Radar Chain... the odds really do radically increase once you get to 40+... some people had pulled 80+ chains where they had stopped to just reset until they found a shiny patch. So no, 4+ shinies isn't anything special.
Hell, I got two shinies without radaring...
But yeah, shinies used for battling usually are hacked, as you can't get egg moves (unless you somehow managed to hatch a shiny), you can't choose the nature (though Synchronize gives you a good chance of finding one with a nature you want) and the IVs will be completely random (which means shitty, most of the time).

It is. =o I just went to Gamestop to ask about it, they gave me one. They had a huge stack of them and joked about how they were going to have so many people to give out all the bookmarks too.

What does this "no clauses" thing mean, some stores have them some don't, everyone acts as if they know it, but no explanation I've seen so far..

Depends on the Clause.

Uber Clause = No Ubers. Theres a smogon list somewhere but it is most legendaries except for dogs/birds/spirits+cressila. I have a list somewhere if you really want to know. Also no wobby/wynaut.

Evasion Clause = No Double Team/Minimize

Species Clause = Each Pokemon must be different. Ie. No 6 Mewtwos.

Item Clause = No duplicate items

Sleep Clause = No 2 Pokemon put to sleep. Rest does not count.

Freeze Clause = No 2 Pokemon frozen. Nobody uses this as freeze is completely random and a shitty reason to get disqualified (but nintendo tourneys use this).

There might be others I'm forgetting.



Also thanks for verifing the bookmark thing. Now theres even less reason to go.

Although you should note that Item Clause, Species Clause, and sometimes Sleep Clause are the only clauses you'll find in a Nintendo-sponsored event. Uber Clause is completely community made, and there's even some dispute over exactly what is "Uber." (like I believe its decided that Celebi is no longer Uber this gen, and I heard that playtests were coming up on smogon to decide whether Mew should remain as Uber or not)

Took me a shitload of eevee breeding, thanks to Jim's Ditto, got me a modest Eevee with stats that are very acceptable for a modest build

Defense 29
Special Attack 30
Special Defense 30
Speed 23

I think it's very worth it losing 1 point on Special Attack for all the other stats being this damn good.

i ono. It should be legit cause i used the surf glitch to get it.

Apparently if you even have Darkrai, Shaymin, or Arceus in your Pokedex, not even in your team, you can't enter the Gamestop tourney, as those are hacks/glitches. Even though there are legit movie Darkrais out there.
