Stupid Ghastsly's learn Hypnosis at level 1! By the time you get to catch them they've already learned 4 moves so Hypnosis is deleted. Which means i have to breed one; are there any good fathers for a Ghastly that can help me learn a cool move?

You could also get them by playing through pokemon colosseum(Ho-oh) and XD(Lugia) on the gamecube

Can you explain what a heart scale does? I have two. They just let you relearn moves?

If you go to Pastoria and go into the house with the fat guy standing outside of it, theres a guy inside who will teach your pokemon any move that they have learned and then forgotten at the cost of 1 heart scale. It works on moves the pokemon forgot on their own as well, for instance when I got my shieldon from a fossil he was level 20. I went to the guy and saw what moves she had already forgotten, one of them being protect which was pretty cool.

Edit: It doesn't work on moves learned through TMs. I just checked. Used Focus punch, got rid of Close Combat, used Hidden Power, got rid of Focus punch. I checked Infernapes list and Focus punch was not on the list. Kinda sucky I guess, but I imagine if you went to the trouble to use the TM in the first place you were planning on keeping the move anyway.
