It's kind of like people who level Alakazham or Gardevoir and it only knows Psychic attacks, it becomes totally worthless against a Dark type. But an Alakazham with the Special Fighting move becomes much less useless, variety :D.
considering its going to be 2dark 2poison... and considering some of the moves have low PP and run out quickly... and considering there are 5 other pokemon able to deal with opposing types for versatility...

Why would i leave it out against an opposing type anyway, i'd be asking to be KO'd in one turn.
Use the moves with the highest pp/dmg ratio and consider accuracy too. But there is never a good reason to carry 2 moves of the same type in most instances. If pokemon were as simple as rock paper scissors there would be no competitive element. And hearing the E4 in this version sounds like you need to have a little variety in your movepools, i.e. only having stabs on your pokemon won't allow you to beat the E4.

Also leaving it out against an opposing type is simply leaving it out against ground. It only has one weakness. So unless your opponent can learn Earfquake you're safe from 2x damage. That's why especially on such a pokemon you'd want to give it as many move types as possible to deal with a more diverse set of opponents rather than just 3 types.

Edit: After looking at his base stats his speed is fairly high, so leaving him in against an opposing type (ground) usually associated with slower pokemon unless we're dealign with a D-Trio here, you're relatively safe, so Ice Fang away for 2x.

Don't let me tell you how to play the game though you can certainly use it with only 2 types and still do fine it's just a waste.

I never really noticed it until you mentioned that, but I'm pretty sure I did that variation in move types on pokemon without even paying attention in previous games lol.

I don't really keep too many defensive moves though usually, except things like Recover, I tend to just zerg everything. ;/

If you know what you are doing and know how to play it's not a waste. Considering the lack of recover/status-up moves available to this pokemon it's not really able to do much more than stab with it's highest moves. When you run out of those moves due to low PP but still could use that type it's nice to have others to fall back on. Say if you have 5PP of one move and 10 of a weaker, if there is a spec of life left on what you are fighting why would you waste your 5PP move.

I wont let you tell me how to play, don't worry. Especially with how easy the game has been for me thus far, it'd be pretty retarded to take advice from someone who hasn't even beaten the E4 yet.

    lol.

Ya my points hold no ground against your omg pwnage 3 type coverage. When he can easily get up to 11 type coverage without even breeding/TMing. Just because I can't play it often doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. Also, you talk about his lack of support moves. Acupressure is an amazing move.

Oops my bad, I eyeballed it, it's only a 10 type coverage still hella good though.

I haven't really looked at the ones in this version yet, I guess I have to go look around and see what they all do.

There are alot of interesting ones. And this gen for example Shuckle can now do some decent tricks lol, but he's still pretty useless. But you have to imagine Acupressuring up for boosts spd or something, and then using a Def/Atk swap move, so he now has like 230 base ATK which is like 600+ atk lmao.

Ya, it's a good pokemon, but I have several others that are above his level and I like to use still. Right now he's just at 47 and still needs alot of xp, don't know what he'll end up doing, might just be in storage. 10 type coverage is nice I just have other pokemon all with lots of type coverage as well, so I was looking to make use of his Poison Dark types. Cross poison is kinda lame though, so i don't know how i'm going to set him up. Crunch is the only move staying, and bite possibly too since it has 25pp for <50% hp. Fangs are nice but only 65att, and damn i'm gonna miss aerial ace.

    Anyway.

How is everyone doing on their legendaries? I was just helping sister with palkia and he took a while to catch, my dialga only took one ultraball lol. I'm worried for the rest of hers after that one, my diamond feels alot easier than her pearl for some reason lol.

I probably won't keep it, but Geodude has an interesting low level move now that raises speed. Pretty cool since he's hella slow lol.

boyiee reminds me of how people used to battle in RBY, Blastoise w/ water gun, hydro pump, bubblebeam, and surf "in case i run out of pp". Then someone throws out a grass and you leave it to die instead of ice beaming or blizzarding it cause "it will just 1 shot me". You dont have to beat D/P to know how to battle effectively. Anyways, stop hating on sunny day fags, and just cause im a girl doesnt mean i think that love makes your pokemon better than another

having 2/2 type moves on a junk lower pokemon isn't really leaving myself open for anything, and getting cross poison was just to see the affectiveness vs poison jab since cross has "higher chance of crit". The pokemon wasn't set up for competition, it was set up for grinding in X area to get xp faster, its nice having 2/2 in the case of low pp so you dont need to fly somewhere for restores.

I tend to try and get as much variation as possible without using TMs at the moment. For example, my Prinplup at 33 has Metal Claw, Bubblebeam, Peck and Growl. I tend to not use defensive moves really, but thats just cos I'm not playing other people at the moment.

Once I beat the E4, and actually start training up a competitive team, Il bother with that sort of thing, but to just beat the game? Why bother.

I always get so scared about using TMs that most of the time in these games I never use any or I use very little. ._.

I've always liked Sunny Day, since it let you skip the charge-up turn for Solar Beam. I've always enjoyed sticking Sunny Day + Solarbeam on Houndoom to counter water, rock, and ground types.

my competitive team is turning out pretty good, really trying to make it as original and non-cliche as possible but still be able to hold it's own. It will against my usual friends at least, but alot of people seem to use the same lame tactics, which will kill my team. It's like mariokart over wifi... those damn koreans... I swear they lap me twice before I get around once.

Why am I just now finding out about this? Let the Solarbeam spam commence.

Then you probably also don't know that Rain Dance makes it take 3 turns.
