I've always liked Sunny Day, since it let you skip the charge-up turn for Solar Beam. I've always enjoyed sticking Sunny Day + Solarbeam on Houndoom to counter water, rock, and ground types.

Why am I just now finding out about this? Let the Sunny Day spam commence.

Then you probably also don't know that Rain Dance makes it take 3 turns.

And Thunder 100% accurate.

Last time I used Rain Dance was Pokemon Blue. After that I only started with grass types. But I generally don't use Solarbeam since the delay
usually gets me in trouble.

Latios - Soul Dew (capped Speed and Special Attack)

And occassionally:

Battle tower is kind of cool and frustrating at the same time, it will pick your opponents based off of your team's weaknesses and move sets. This is how a general battle would go with my team:

Garchomp > Outrage
Opponent > Ice Beam
Garchomp holds on with it's Focus Sash.
Garchomp > Outrage
Opponent > die

Next opponent in.

Garchomp > Outrage (or kill himself)
Opponent > dead or severely hurt

Registeel comes in.

Registeel > Iron Defense
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Amnesia
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Iron Defense
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Amnesia
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Iron Defense
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Amnesia
Opponent > w/e it can't kill Registeel
Registeel > Iron head
Opponent > dies

Final opponent comes in.
Registeel > Toxic
Opponent dies over the next 6 turns.

If you cannot toxic, then you just mash Head Butt, Amnesia, and Iron Defense until they struggle to death. Registeel is cheats.

For getting past 100 you get a ribbon for your pokemon. Yay. Oh and a ton of BP used to buy older TMs, items, and drugs.

The solar beam + sunny day tactic got really abused in R/S since that one legendary, Groundon (sp), came with an automatic sunnday active when he was in battle. I never really use legendaries beyond collecting them, or making a 100% uber/legendary team as it really is no fun using them against normal pokes.

Most legendaries are banned anyways, with the exception of the Regi's, the 3 psychics in D/P and the 3 birds from B/R/Y.

Darkrai is by far the cheapest thing this game has seen 85% acc AoE sleep is ridiculous, and he deals 1/8th dmg to any foe sleeping as an ability. Fucking hax.

However, I sure do miss my Kyogre + Ludicolo team. ; ; Rainy Day + Rain Dish + Leech Seed + Left Overs = over 25% HP regen per turn on Ludicolo.

PkMn Trainer uses Clefairy.

Me: lol, I can beat this with my weakest Pokemon.

Some of the most fun I had testing this was metronome fights lol. Snorlax vs Miltank, similar builds.

Usually went about 45 minutes for the fight to finish, curse is hacks. But always funny to see someone kill them selves.

I think the game is pretty balanced, no one type dominates another. (lol Psychic days from RBY)

I still think Earthquake is overpowered, but theres so many kinds of pokemon now that I think nothing is really THE pokemon to have or use, there's moves that are generally best for every pokemon, but other than that I've seen some pretty wacky teams.
