get a pokemon with theif ability and a ditto, go to 2v2
transform your ditto, then use theif with your 2nd pkmn on your ditto
then rape the 2 opponents
voila, you now gots 2 masterballs

if you wanna use legendaries for competitive play... you HAVE to do this. im fucking serious, do you really wanna spend 10-30min spamming ultra/timer balls only to find your palkia has bold nature and like 6 IV in atk/satk/spd? then you'd have to reset

my friend used masterball on latios before i could dupe for finding a good rayquaza... and im having a fucking hella hard time catching it

Two of the legendaries you have to catch to get in your dex, one you talk to and it runs around like the dogs in gold/silver.

Or, you could battle with someone who has them (if that counts as registering them on dex) or just trade/trade back <.<

Wrong. You have to get into a fight with them, but you don't have to CATCH them.

Aren't they gone forever if you don't catch them? That kinda defeats the purpose of it lol <_<

And to everyone arguing about Arseus or w/e, it's not hard to get a "legit" one ala the surf elite4 glitch method. All you need to catch the real one is to give yourself a heaven's pipe lol, I could go catch one on my diamond and clone it <.<

They took out all the glitches in the EN version though.

My Diamond is both JP Version and English, whichever I want to load my save on. Hacking yourself a heaven's pipe doesn't require any glitches

There is no glitch.

(Ok, well, basically, in early JP versions, there is a glitch that lets you reach legendaries that you can only get via events, but those are reached by boats w/ event ticket items. What I said is, getting Asureus(however the hell you spell his name) doesn't require the glitch, because the glitch doesn't reach his room; instead, to "catch a legit one" you just need to hack yourself the key item to get there, the heaven's pipe)

it kinda depends on the legendary, i think suicune and raikou aren't classed as "Uber" tier legendaries

i hope not anyway, cos my WiFi team is getting a suicune ¬_¬

Legendaries? Competitive play? Shit like Mewtwo, Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai, and Arceus are banned from most tournaments aren't they? I'd guess they are since they're banned from the Battle Tower, and the BT was made based on tournament rules when it was first added. Low legendaries like Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf and Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres aren't though.

In tournaments no Ubers are allowed at all. And pokemon are classified into tiers, like OU, UU, etc. Most of the time everything except Ubers are allowed, I've seen OU not allowed though, those are generally alot more strategic.

Uhm, online though anything goes sadly, since it's Nintendo they really didn't add anything to adjust. There is an interesting feature on Netbattle for example where you can have it auto set levels. This feature basically sets the levels of pokemon to be equal with eachother, so that say a Mewtwo isn't level 100 it's level 65 so that it's stats are on par with a say, lvl 85 Roselia. It's a pretty kewl idea.

Okay, I need a terminlogy chart here. I have no idea what STAB, OU, or UU mean.

STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus

STAB is when you use a move of the pokemon's type, and get a STAB bonus to the damage.

When you use the Radar, there are two different types of shaking, one that lasts for a while and seems slow, and one that is shorter but more intense (Also has some yellow to the leaves). Whats the difference?
