So, since all the glitches are fixed in the English version, what is the best way to get Rare Candies? I think Pick Up would be good, but don't Pokemon have to be a high level to Pick Up Rare Candies? Would I be better off trying to get six Pick Up- pokes in my Diamond game, or just try to get a bunch of Rare Candies in Sapphire and slowly transfer them over?

Or alternatively, is there a fast way to find out IVs without 30-some Rare Candies and a soft reset?

All meds including rare candy can be bought with battle points from the Battle Tower.

But therein lies the paradox: I need to get Rare Candies to check my IVs to build a strong team so I can do the Battle Tower so I can buy Rare Candies to check my IVs to train a strong team to... AGH!

I spent like 100,000 on meds, then when I got to Battle Tower and they were 1 point each I was like

Exp share is 3x experience bonus if the person in battle has one on. Its silly.

I need some suggestions from you guys. I'm in this facebook group and since I was one of the first people to beat the game they nominated me as a gym leader in the group for a competition they're having.

My team is going to consist of dog-like/looking pokemon as opposed to one type for creativity aspects. No legendaries are able to be used, but other than that I can pretty much use whatever ones I want to. Battles will be capped at LV. 50 but I can train past that to have the 50+ moves.

Anyway, what type of dog pokemon would you all suggest for this team? Anything that looks like a dog/puppy will be considered, but I'm really going for the strongest ones so I can fuck people up if able. I also want to use vulpix as one since he's somewhat my "signature" (and favorite) pokemon.

Houndoom is the first dog that came to mind, I'll try to think of some more.

I don't know of any legendary dogs, but I can't use any legendaries.

The ones I'm thinking of off the top of my head are:

• Absol
  Luxray (although he kinda looks like a cat...)
  Vulpix/Ninetails
  Growlithe
  Poochyena/Mightyena
  Houndour/Doom

I'd say to pick up a Manectric since someone would probably try a water-type on Vulpix/Growlithe/Houndour and Luxray isn't really all that... doggish.

I'm really partial to Mightyena since it pretty much carried me through Sapphire. Lucario might be sort of nice since he resists so many types, but the problem with steel is that so many things learn random ground or fighting moves that it can really mess you up. Earthquake is my archenemy because it keeps destroying my penguin, noooo.

Oh man I've never even heard of Manectric, and he'd be the perfect electric pokemon dog...but my Luxray is already level 61 so this sucks hahah. But yeah that's a good suggestion, but wouldn't he still get owned by water?
