Well you have to consider they are the best pokemon trainers in all of Sinnoh and aren't going to be easy. I lost to the 4th one and Cynthia once also because I had a variety of level 40s and 50s instead of one o.p. 80. too.

Also what is the best nature for a smeargle?

As far as all this complicated EV IV Nature Voodoo stuff is concerned - is it all the same as it was in 3rd gen games? In other words, is the information on Serebii.net about these things still accurate, or does it require some rehaul after the upgrade to 4th gen?

Great, thanks!! It's gonna be a real bitch to learn those moves you posted Priran but I'll try to get them all. If you're using transform though wouldn't it not do much dmg to the other pokemon since they won't be weak to the attacks?

Makes you resistant to their moves as well though.

I never thought about making Smeargle learn Transform, that is pretty crazy. x.x

I wish Smeargle wasn't the ugliest pokemon ever though. My vulpix is classified as 'beauty' so I bet that she's a real asshole to that ugly Smeargle when the DS is turned off. ;x

Maybe that is the actual reason you make him learn transform, so you don't have to see how ugly he is. o_O

The point is that, by Imprisoning before Transforming, your opponent will be forced to Struggle while you can beat him down with his own moves, and he won't be able to switch out because of Spider Web.

Don't say Serebii, since thats really only good if you know what you're looking for.

I've been using this one, http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex , it's not exactly what you're asking for and not 100% complete, but at least you can search. ;/

I guess you could use some faq on gamefaqs for what you're asking for though.

that has all the evolutions listed by family, just ctrl f to find the pokemon you're looking for. Also while I was mining last night I found my first water stone! They do exist down there but from what I can they're MUCH more rare than thunder, fire, ever, and sun stones.

I use the hammer and do a wide search pattern, trying to expose lighter grey areas first. If I see an orb, I leave it alone (worthless things) If I see anything else, I use the pick to get it out carefully.

That's not a bad idea, the orbs are useless anyways. I was always just trying to find everything. ._.

Note: That smeargle only works if you're opponent is dumb enough to keep the Slept poke in. Also most pokemon can OHKO smeargle without even getting 2x... some even without STAB. I'd be more inclined to buff up defense for whatever the opponent is probably going to use more, most likely physical for the chance at surviving. Speed helps you get off the first spore, but like I said, you won't get a second off if your opponent is smart enough not to switch into a poke slower than Smeargle...I can see the smeargle being a nice pick for the last poke you throw at your opponent, when they either can't roar you out. Also it's worth noting this will probably only take out one poke if the first 2 moves get off.

edit: overestimated smeargle, his defense and spDefense are both shit, speed is the best way to go, but he's really lackluster against anything with 85+ base speed lol..

With the move list that Priran listed though, they can't swap out after Imprison.

edit: Err, Spider Web? Imprison was the move that stopped opponent from using any moves you have.

yeah, if you spore > spider web then they're stuck, and if you have a high speed smeargle then the spore will go off first. If they trade out after the first turn and you web the second, you can just spore as the next move and restart the cycle.
