As for Physical Sweepers, most can't outspeed Ninetales with 252 evs in speed and jolly nature. So good luck finding a non uber that does.
Yeah ok, you blow 252 EVs on Speed as I laugh and either oneshot your pokemon or laugh as its super-effective attacks don't do 1/8th my pokemon's HP.
You either didn't read my post or you're choosing to ignore it for some reason. EVs in speed are to ensure you get off your Hyp or Wisp, not to try and sweep. Ninetales has a shitty spA but a nice spD and spd for a reason. 252 in spd and HP or spD and the 4 in the other and you're set. You can even choose to run Subs on it and sub when you predict a switch after the enfeeble, then you're guaranteed a wisp/hyp on the 2nd poke at no risk to your Ninetales. But arguing that Ninetales won't do 1/8 of the HP is fucking stupid. In my post I even said it's not meant to sweep/kill it's meant to annoy and put 2 pokemon on your opponents team out of commission.

You "laugh" as I put 252 in it's best stat, to put it above 80% of the ubers in speed and on par with Lugia/Hooh/Raikou, ok.
Edit: You're also on crack if you really think a stabbed Flamethrower at 2x won't do more than 1/8 of a pokemons HP. 2(95+(95/2)) is alot of fucking damage.

@People duping, the dupe glitch works in NA version? How are you all talking about duping items?

depends what you want your palkia to do. If it's Modest you're only option is special attacks, if it's Adamant you're only option is Physical. Otherwise he has a nice move set so just load him up with a variety but make sure to keep a dragon type and a water type so you can put the Lustrous Orb to good use.

My Palkia is Mild, I used a lvl 7 abra and just SRed until I got mine with the IVs I wanted. It's something like 25/22/31/31/23/20, really nice IV spread and he has 31 where it matters. I got a 28 HP with similar IV spread earlier when I was at work that day but my boss came in and I shut it off out of a reaction lol. I wanted to slap myself after she left the room. Anyway that was off topic...

For mine I'll probably keep it's Spacial Rend and put Surf on it. Then maybe Tbolt and keep Ancient Power if Iceys are a problem. Otherwise that last slot will probably be a wild card.

Edit: Looked at Serebii, I'll probably opt to switch Tbolt for IceBeam depending on the team I'm using and for the 4th slot either Aura Sphere or Earth Power. Surprised they hooked him up with such a nice variety with all special base. Very nice. Not only does he have only one weakness but he also covers a variety of types, great poke :D

Shiny lvl100 Naive Palkia; HP316, Atk 275, Def 256, SAtk 335, SDef 243, Spd 268. Aura Spehre, Spacial Rend, Aqua Tail and Ancient Power on it.

lol I love GTS, put up a magikarp asking for one and I get this. Obviously hacked of course, but I was wondering if I should keep it, or trade it for a low lvl legit Palkia and another legendary.

Whats the Spacial Rend and abra trick? I dont really know anything about the whole IV thing.

SR stands for Soft Reset not Spacial Rend, heh funny coincidence.
    Abra is for Synchronize.

Yeah, Burn. I mean wow, Burn? Burn. Now there's a debilitating status effect, Burn. If your pokemon gets hit with Burn, I mean wow... why not just throw in the towel? I mean wow, one of your pokemon is Burned.

Everyone, say hi to Nidoking. What's up, Nidoking?

Nidoking is going to help us with a demonstration of how damage works in pokemon. Nidoking has offered to help us because he has pretty average defense stats and HP, as well as no real like or dislike towards Fire-type moves.

Nidoking knows that Ninetales's average Sp.A, with halfass EVs, is around 220. He also knows that his Sp.D is a little lower than that, at around 200, and his HP is decent, at around 330, while Ninetales's HP hovers around 300.

Ninetales and Nidoking are both strong Lv.100s. Ninetales threatens to use Flamethrower on poor Nidoking, which is terrible! Using the following formula, Nidoking weighs his choice of whether or not he should run away!

    Damage = ((((2 * Level / 5 + 2) * AttackStat * AttackPower / DefenseStat) / 50) + 2) * STAB * Weakness/Resistance * RandomNumber(85-100) / 100

That comes to around 115-130 damage, a mere third of Nidoking's HP!

Nidoking is an angry, angry pokemon now. Using its Earthquake attack, it retaliates!

Dealing 275-320 damage, Nidoking is capable of defeating its opponent in a single shot! Sorry, Ninetales. At least you got to attack first!

You're arguing the wrong argument again. Ninetales isn't meant to kill anyone, it's meant to phase/burn and/or sleep. You also probably didn't know Burn gives atk down either. You're also an idiot if you think anyone would leave their Nintales in against a stabbed earthquake without Hypnosis first turn or roar on the predicted switch. You act like everyone is going to just spam Flamethrower with the Ninetales. Stop being an idiot.

Also thanks for proving that the stabbed Flamethrower in fact does more than 1/8 and does a decent amound of damage despite his focus not being damage.

Congratulations! Your pokemon is mediocre at best at a mediocre role!

Except the part where I said on the previous page that Burn would be useless against a Special Sweeper? Just replace "Earthquake" with "Earth Power" in the above example where I didn't even mention Burn, less Will-O-Wisp, your Ninetales is just as dead.

So do your pokemon have the magical ability to use a move and switch out in the same turn? Or do you get to do this when you waste all your EVs on Speed? Because otherwise, last I checked, both pokemon get to attack in a turn.
    Stop being an idiot.

Like I said, Nidoking is an incredibly middle-of-the-road pokemon.

Queue where I said, Ninetales is UU. God you're annoying. I never said it was supposed to be an end all Pokemon, you were simply misinterpretting it's role. Yes it can be killed fairly easily compared to some pokes, but completely denying it's utility just because of that is foolish.

I never claimed my pokemon could use a move and switch the same turn, wtf are you smoking lol? EVs are in speed to outspeed when you're confident you can either, get a sub up for put burn/hyp on. You keep acting like Ninetales is supposed to be living through all these counters. You can sit here and say all day how to beat the Ninetales but in the end you keep missing the point, to simply get 2 debuffs onto two pokemon, or more if you opponent switches or you get a lucky roar.

My guess? You're missing the point on purpose, simply because you don't want to admit that Ninetales does what he's meant to do, well; Get two debuffs onto your opponent and roar/switch or take one for the team and just die. Just stop arguing, I don't understand how you still don't get it. Yes it can be beaten, but it won't be beaten before at least getting two debuffs out especially with speed evs and jolly nature.

First, my point is that it takes one turn to kill Ninetales. You don't get to switch out.

Second, wasting a slot for an ailment that's either going to wear off in ~3 active turns, or does little more than Poison is ridiculous. If it gets KO'd in a single turn, your other pokemon have to pick up its slack or you're going to lose. It's good at being useless. Fantastic.

By the way, you have to quote the name if you're using quote=.

Do you remember what the first thing I said was?

    "Vulpix is hardcore awesome".

You're not even talking about Vulpix, you're talking about its evolution, and all you're doing is proving that it's a waste of a slot.

FUCK NINETAILS. GenGAR is superior, he can do Will-o-wisp + Hypnosis irritant and still has superior speed and spA to sweep. GenGAR wins. End of discussion.

    UU means Under Used.

Ninetales falls into that category for a reason. It isn't amazing, but it can do nifty things. Certain pokemon totally outclass it, therefore it's under used. Syn, the discussion isn't OMFG WHO'S BETTER, it's can Ninetales do what I said it can do, and the fact is, yes it can.

This thread is now fucking awesome. Er...wait, I've been trouble locating Feebas in this game. Anyone know where to find it?

Feebas is incredibly hard to find in Diamond & Pearl. However instead of 6 tiles that you can change at will, Feebas' tiles in the Tengan Mountain Range Water area is limited to 4 tiles that are changed every day. This is definitely a problem as if you are looking for a certain natured Feebas, you will have to keep looking every day.
