In Diamond, Electirizer is 50% from wild Elekids, but 5% in Pearl.
In Pearl, Magmarizer is 50% from wild Magbys, but in Diamond, it's 5%.

I might have that backwards but the concept is the same.

Simple way to test: Find a doubles battle
Poke 1: Exp Share
Poke 2: Not exp share.

Kill one fast. Exp will be 1/2 on The Poke2 and 3/2 on Poke1.

Someone doesn't understand how Exp. Share works. Here's how it goes:

You defeat a Pokemon. It gives you Exp.

-50% of that exp. automatically goes to the Pokemon with Exp. Share on, reguardless of whether or not it participated in the battle.
-The remaining 50% exp. is divided evenly amongst all Pokemon who participated in the battle.

Example:

I have three Pokemon, Torterra, Staraptor, and Blissey. Blissey is holding the Exp. Share.

I fight and defeat a Pokemon using Torterra alone. Torterra gets 50% of the exp., and Blissey gets 50% of the exp.

I fight and defeat a Pokemon with Torterra, but I switched in Staraptor to fight at some point. Blissey gains 50% of the exp. thanks to Exp. Share, and Torterra and Staraptor split the rest, getting 25% each. Blissey gets twice as much experience.

I fight and defeat a Pokemon using Torterra, but I started out the battle with Blissey to sleep it and then switched her out. Blissey gets 50% of the exp. from Exp. Share and the 25% of the split from the remaining 50%. Blissey gets 75% of the experience and Torterra gets 25%. Blissey effectively gains three times the experience that Torterra does.

Exp. Share doesn't multiply or increase the amount of base experience given out by defeating a Pokemon. It merely effects what share of the experience a Pokemon receives. The Pokemon wearing Exp. Share gets triple the exp. in a double batte, because it gets its 50% share from the item, and half of the remainder due to its inclusion in the fight. While this can be helpful, it does not increase the experience in the same way Lucky Egg does.

I raised a Blissey to level 45 on solely Exp. Share. I've gone through enough battles to see how experience is divided up, and this is how it works out.

Ohh GTS 'glitch' for evolving pkmn that have to be traded. http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmes ... c=35098130

1) Put the pokemon you want to evolve up for offer on the GTS. If you're scared of someone taking it, just put it up for an outragous offer, like a level 9 or under Giratina.

2) Go to "seek pokemon", find a pokemon to trade for, and complete at least 1 trade.

3) Retrieve the pokemon you put up for offer. Upon returning, it will evolve.


I want to know if I can do this with a normal pkmn and get 2x XP liek a traded one would.

I have a question, is there any way to trade for pokemon you want but have never seen? I've seen them in the battle tower but it wont let me ask for them. Whats the point of trading for something I've already seen but didn't want.

Incredibly low chance to have a pokemon infected while battling a wild pokemon. Once you're infected, any pokemon in your party have a chance to get it as well while you're walking around or battling.

The virus itself disappears after 24 hours, however even after it disappears the double EV earned bonus stays, however the pokemon can't spread the virus anymore. The trick is to put it on a crap pokemon, and just keep it in the PC box, since that resets the 24hr timer.
