1st It doesn't take someone with half a brain to know that it's Odin.
2nd SE has not always given Odin's horse 6 legs, there was one ff game where it had 4 legs, i think it was FFIV.

3rd As if FFXI keeps EVERY single avatar looking exactly like previous FFs. Why would Odin be any different?
4th It's clear someone didnt play the ToAU missions till the stopping point, or you'd know it was Odin by now. He is even hinted to maybe be the next summoner avatar simply for when Odin speaks it's listed as text coming from "Odin Prime". But we will have to wait and see. But since no other avatar had prime in it's name and wasn't summonable after beating it, it's a good chance maybe.

Since the patch notes mention they changed the reward for re-completing the 100th floor via the Runic Key from a previous completion, has anyone done this after the patch to see what the difference in reward from a pre-patch re-completion is?

i have hardly done any toau missions at all.. but it doesn't even take a brain to know that it's odin in someway.. Why wouldn't it be? Now with the last chamber in Einherjar being Odin's Chamber and all.. btw, Why did they bother to type "???'s Chamber" in the update info and then put Odin's chamber in auto-translate? -.-

When they announced new area names in the auto-translator, they didn't mention Odin's Chamber, so I bet it's an accident.

And his 3d dat is called "odin" (beginning of the file). But then again it is VERY VERY possible that some Japanese SE programmer named the model after his favourite band "Odin":

Yea, it's really weird... the delay, shape and sound effect assigned to it match with longsword. However, all its previous stages are shortswords and you trade 3 shortswords to make it.

Every other relic is completely consistant with regards to weapon sub-type.

Plus the whole Norse Mythology trend of this last update, Einherjar, Valkyries, the Bird and Tiger with the All Fathers' Pets Names, Valhalla armor, yeah... wouldn't make ANY sense for him to be Odin.

No, what doesn't make sense is for Odin to show up in the Near Eastern expansion, IMO.

Well, my real point was that it's not unheard of for mythologies to be used outside of their regions of origin. Why choose to make a statement about Odin in the 'Arabic-Themed' Aht Uhrgan but not make a statement about any of the other mythologies the game has been known to use?

Perhaps Phoenix was just a bad example.
