Matt Groening no doubt thinks the show is just now peaking. You ever listen to the DVD commentaries? He hates and/or doesn't understand all the best jokes and seems to think every episode should revolve around Lisa.

I heard in next week's episode Homer's mother comes back again but it's not really her but her twin sister who was married to Moe and they had a child who became a famous movie star but he was eaten by Stampy's estranged wife so it's like awesome we got money but due to a wardrobe malfunction (lol topical) Disco Stu's shoe flies off and hits her in the head and kills her and it's like shit but through an odd stipulation in the will the money goes to Homer so he's like woo-hoo time to build the world's tallest water slide which was always his childhood dream and he hires Chutes and Bladders plumbing company to help construct the intricate tubing but during the construction he has a pipe fall on his head so he makes Homer noises but it's ok since he's a cartoon but after that it's finally done and he goes to the top but oh no! the water's frozen because it's so high and Lisa's like daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad didn't you know water freezes at such-and-such altititude (I dunno I'm not a biologist) and Homer's like hehehehe 'tit' no wait that's Family Guy, Homer's like D'oh! and they're like what the hell do we do with all this tubing but lo and behold it goes "One week later" and you see Cletus's shack with some wacky-ass Dr. Suess tubing thing going on and he's like "Brandine! Weez fine-lee gots plummin'!"

Family Guy killed the SImpsons by simply copying their comedy style and making it more obscene.

However the Simpsons movie is going to be Epic and they're going to stop making episodes after the movie.

Saw the Simpsons Movie in an advanced screening at Tempe, Arizona. They didn't tell us what movie it was until it started, the whole croud cheered, but I was a little disappointed-- Simpsons had jumped the shark years ago, right?

Anyway, it was a decent flick with a strong beginning, and a lot of good gags in the movie.. there's maybe one scene I won't be surprised if they edit out for a pg-13 rating. The movie was only 70% completed, meaning a lot of scenes were in black/white 1 frame per second with voices attached. Overall though, I'd say it was a good flick for those who think simpsons are just alright, but if you love the simpsons, you'll love the movie-- The movie focuses primarily on Homer, while there is a connected side story with Bart. I'd tell more but I signed a non-disclosure form and who knows how serious they are about that, but foremost, ruining the movie's gags would be unfair to everyone, the filmmakers and you guys.

Anyway, I only think a few people will be disappointed with this movie.
