This one looks pretty awesome, I must say.

I absolutely love the books, but I haven't seen any of the movies in their entirety. I'll have to get on that. I should probably reread all the books as well, forgotten a lot.

This is hands down the darkest of the books. You feel all the shit HP has to endure and how he feels he is being treated but was one of my favorite of the series. If they play on that in the right way the movie could be very good.

I've got my copy of Deathly Hallows pre-ordered and paid off, I can't wait. Still debating on seeing this, although it looks good. I've only seen Goblet, and the entire movie just felt like a huge rush to hit all the important plot points.

I know it's impossible to have a perfect adaptation, but Peter Jackson cut a lot out of LotR, yet the movies still felt complete.

I dunno i agree with epical.... i like how the series(both books and movies ><) has turned from a "kids story" to something darker ad more "grown-up"

It makes me laugh when people complain about the change in tone from the first book & movie to the current ones. Like they miss the point entirely about this being a seven year journey & not just some world where time stands still and nothing changes.

While I agree the books are by far the purest form of the story, the movies try their best for the most part to fit six hundred plus pages at times into something under three hours.

J.K.R. is someone to admire indeed, going from being on welfare & nearly homeless to one of the richest women in the world. Like Harry Potter or hate it, she's left her literary mark on this world that children & adults alike will continue to enjoy forever. Year Seven can't get here soon enough, and lucky for me the book comes out on my birthday. :D
