Items Sold on AH; no history of sale, no gil delivered.

This is not so much a rant but a "Has this ever happened to you thread".

To sum it up, I sold 3 stacks of platinum nuggets on Sunday. When I went to check on the status of the nuggets, all three stacks appeared in yellow, like they normally when items sell. When I went to my MH, there was no gil to be found. I went to ffxiah.com, and checked the AH Sales Status, and no trace of my sale was to be found.

Has ANYONE heard of this before?

I know its only like, 120k or something. But the only source of income I have in this game is to grow shit because it only takes 5 minutes out of my day and when I do get a chance to play for a few hours, I don't want to spend it farming.

I got screwed by AH before from the Whitegate lag. I was buying stacks of wyvern scales and ended up somehow paying for 5 stacks and only had 2 stacks in my inventory. GM pretty much told me I was SOL and they wouldn't do anything about it. Even though my chatlog showed me buying 2 stacks and the AH history said I had bought 5. Lazy fucks. At least it wasn't a huge amount of gil or I'd be pissed.

I always got the money from my sales, but I have had a huge delays between sale and money delivery (like 2 weeks) once, on the sale of a Sniper's Ring.

I've never completely lost the money from a sale, but one time over 2 years ago it took almost all day to get the money from a Byrnie I sold. I kind of freaked out, called a GM, and they gave me the blahblah please be patient speech. It arrived a couple hours later. Since then it's never happened to me.

This happened to me once, can't remember what the item was but the gil did eventually show up, I'd imagine you'll get it sooner or later, but it sucks the GM's can't expedite that.

It will be fantastic if this gil arrives in six months time after what can only be described as the "Magical Gil Deleting Hack of '07" in which everyone is reduced to rubble and 10k is a fortune... Then when you finally get the gil you can buy all the tree saplings you want!

The whole conversation with opening ports or forwarding is bs.

I played ffxi on 3 machines different locations different IPs and different ISPs and closed ports as well as a tightly locked Hardware Firewall.

I never had that issue.

The money is not being sent to an IP, its sent to your account name.

I presume that there is a HUGE delay in transactions atm.

I recommend waiting a bit more.

That GM didnt know how to fix your problem so he told you to open ports.

Maybe its just me, but that sounds strange that the AH server goes through you to reach the FF server.

I remember this happening way back in NA PC beta a couple of times. At the time I just chalked it up to being beta and such. Think it happened one other time not long after NA PC release. I've never had it happen again since (knock on wood), so I always thought it was an issue that had been corrected.

I remember back when people were duping gil by using a strategy that involved selling an item and then taking it off multiple times and recieving multiple gil payments for one good... Maybe this is kind of a fix to that that inadvertantly fucked you? Keep in mind I haven't heard of anyone duping for at least a year now, but I dunno, maybe thats why.

Yeah, or like you vendored a KC... Vannis? I still love how he did that and then within a week or two they released their whole "You can get one item back!" policy. Priceless.

2 years ago when I was robbed by a LSmate the GM's kept saying I lost the items due to data loss from not all my ports being open.

Such BS. All transactions for any item in game are done on their internal network. Your port settings, IP, lag, OS, anything you own, has no effect on any transactions at all.
