Skeet, you inspired my friend and I so much that we thought we'd try our hand in this as well. So we dialed up Kisi (a gilseller on Bahamut some of you may recognize shouting to sell an osode in whitegate) and asked for a few things from Kirin. I, Tryon, expressed intent to purchase a togi for 3M and Shang a pair of c.cuisses for 7M. Kisi was, of course, ecstatic to hear that he'd be taking our money. So much, in fact, that even though they were not doing Kirin on the particular night we'd inquired about, he asked us to join them in Sky for some Suzy/Seiryu action, without asking to see any money whatsoever. So we went did 2 Suzaku...

Anywho, they left with smiles and told us to gather for Kirin the next day. Upon our arrival they demanded to see some gil to prove that we were willing to pay. We couldn't front 7M between the two of us required for a pair of fast pants for Shang, but we were able to muster 3M to convince them we were legit enough for my togi. Anyway, the first Kirin yielded c.cuisses that were sadly trashed but the second dropped a togi. I'd gone to bed and was letting Shang control me. We planned to grab whatever else we could in the impending drop, but we only were able to get away with the abj...

So despite how upset they were (and someone in our shell trying to sabotage us minutes before Kirin drop) Shang and I did a rundown, and we approxmiate about ~10M-ish in stolen items from the GS. Hooray us, lol.

Of course they can but I doubt they will. It's like bank robbers calling the cops on a carjacker - I doubt they'd risk it. And regardless, we didn't break any part of the Terms of Service agreement whatsoever. Casting Lots isn't breaking the rules.

Like a year ago a friend of mine on Asura went and killed Kirin with gilsellers saying he would pay 20m for W legs(which was a reasonable price back then). So he goes up there kills it with them, W legs drop, he lots and they drop to him, and then he warped out without paying (same deal as this, but this was a year ago when getting an autmnstone was like getting an e body).

BUT, she did say that when you agree to something like this - it is considered part of a trade scam and RMT or not your account CAN be banned if you dont pay. Unfortunate, yes but just a fair warning! They can read a chat log from any time so if you say "ok 4m for Haidate or w/e" they can hold you to that.

I have contacted GMs regarding a trade scam that i was a victim of before, i described the issue and made it clear i had screens of the chatlog where the guy (he was a RL friend of a friend, so i trusted him) categorically stated he was paying me <insert reasonably high number> million for an item that we had drop from a HNM.

I had been on holiday for the 3 weeks after the scam took place, got back, guy wouldnt respond to any of my tells etc, tried with my other charachters to get a response out of him and nothing. Called GM, been a while back so i'm not 100% 1st GM was [GM]Qubel and second who i was referred to was [sGM]Melvus


1) GM said they cannot check any chatlogs whatsover older than a week.

2) I sent my screenshots to a email adress i was given by a SGM, he got back to me saying if i would have contacted them within a week they could have made him pay me, but since its over a week they cant take any action :/

as for the free items off sky RMT, lol i bagged 1 of every sky item and abjuration (including spares), totally free. Soloing birds in sky on 70ish NIN and there was a shout if anyone needed haidate or N hands they could cast lots for free... for the next couple days i turned up in sky when they said and was allowed to lot anything except what they termed {Synthesis Materials} i.e. shining cloths. best was saved for last, got Dbody and Wlegs off same Kirin. IMO anything you can get from RMT for free that would otherwise have fell to the ground is fair game. grats on your items skeet~!

This was my first day camping mobs with the group, who i was introduced to by a in-game friend. I was assured they were trustworthy since my in-game friend knew most of them IRL. next day i went on holiday for 3 weeks, and when i returned got basically blanked out. all the items had sold and the split was agreed before i left, as an exact amount clearly confirmed by the group leader in the chatlog. The friend who introduced me to the group said he would talk to them but just told me they wouldnt discuss it with him, thats when i got the GMs involved, although was at that stage told i was too late to have action taken.

This was back when angel skins were aroudn 1.5m around there, and i couldn't afford a cursed piece to uncurse my N.Head abj. Happy to say, that it was one fun time, they gave me party leader so i could invite "another thf" and i broke the pt once we got the drop. Angel skin went to me and got my cursed cap! \o/

This used to happen a lot on Phoenix, only it was two teamed up LS's on Nidhoggs. The alliance leader would start /acmd kicking the parties that didn't have their members in it once the loot dropped.

meh my favorite RMT experience was when a friend and I were fishing for angel skins and popping phantom worm. some gilfinders beat us to PW but they got 1 link of a nearby worm. So after they slept and and engaged back on PW the slept link went unclaimed. So I Dia'd they're add and right off the bat.. stonega III. I lol'd after I got a tathlum from that worm
