What should an HNM WHM merit? (Tank party/Regen discussion)

! I wonder how that happened. That was the first non-spam post I've made on our forums in like 3 months.

i yell at WHMs that cast that on me.

Do explain. To me that screams 'wtf'

i use a cure swap, raising my HP by 185 to then cure III myself for hate, generating damage-less hate via cures when i'm pld/nin. getting a regen tick after i swap can drop me down 20-25hp on a cure depending on how good their regen III is. basically that's wasting my enmity opportunities each time because cure III take like 2 seconds to cast and chances are, a tick will happen while i'm casting. i hate it to no end.

and it even helps you with Chivalry!

Chivalry and Devotion along with regular old Refresh and Ballad should give you more than enough MP to easily reach hate cap. I have a hard time believing that 20-25 HP would screw your hate regardless.

Most of the PLDs in our shell have that torque, I also use it to immediately clear sleep when fighting kirin. In the time it takes for your cure III recast to come up and cast it, you should have lost the 200 HP needed to hit the hate cap per cure.

I don't hate regen, I love it - I'd gladly have regen merits if I could fit them in I just decided that barspells suited me better. Ironically we're a small shell, don't have a heap of outside WHMs etc and I still prefer the barspells. I love my regens, use them a heap with my briault but just with our group, stuff I do, barspells worked out better. Totally depends on a heap of things that no one else can measure. One of our other WHMs is meriting regen /shrug.

As for the rest, I went maxed Shellra V, 2 in devotion and 1 in prot. Prot is pretty rubbish but it's useful to have to just to balance with other WHMs who have it and er...

problem is, i don't have one but i have been wanting one for a long time.

furthermore i'd still use the cure swap if i had one for instances when i wanted to spam cure III to raise hate quickly, such as after a horrid roar.
