Comment: I am a hardcore video gamer, so I wish to lend my years of gaming expertise. Simply put, we don't care about the name.
Take, for example, Microsoft's popular game series "Halo". The original book in which the video game was based off of was entitled "The Fall of Reach". Instead of naming the game after the book, some genius at Microsoft decided the ring-shaped artifact that the game takes place on actually looks like a halo. Microsoft made millions. Simple names make for memorable titles, and memorable titles make for blockbuster sequel sales. Do a study, I'm willing to bet that more people will buy a game named "First Person Shooter" over the same game with a well-thought metaphorical title.
