DVD not being recognized

I just bought CnC3 today. Works fine on another computer, but cant seem to be actually show up on my computer.

I tried Run->D:\
It works fine with Oblivion
and yeah, XP pro

stupid question: does the drive recognize other DVDs?

really stupid question: are you certain the drive is a dvd drive?

ghetto network install = share drive with full read/write access, browse across network

or copy+paste entire disc onto network shared folder on other computer, or onto folder on your computer that is network shared from the other computer.

It's recognizing Oblivion and other DVDs.

I can use the CnC3 Game disk on my laptop.

And its showing as if theres NO disk in the drive when i put it in.

That's kinda weird...

especially since another system's dvd drive can read the disk, and other dvd's work fine...
I think the ideas suggested by Sonomaa et al is your best bet
