More X-Men movies! YAY? NAY?

and honestly, am I the only person that didn't like Batman begins, I liked the setup and all but the climax was really short.

FUCKING GAMBIT

I thought they established they won't touch Gambit, because they'd most likely just piss everyone off hiring like Nicolas Cage to do the job...

They actually had scheduled to have a scene of Gambit in X3.. Except the actor dropped off the role at the last minute because it was too much like the only other character he is known for.. aka Sawyer from Lost.. (Josh Holloway)

He would have done a fucking fantastic job as Gambit.. My favorite X-Men by far.. and also my favorite Lost character. Shame he let the role go.. Would have made the movie.. For me at least.

To be fair, Magneto wasn't really the 'main' villian of X2. He just took opportunity of what Stryder had built.

They were just fine, you got exactly what you went to the movies to see. Some real acting my Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellan, and some nice shots of Halle Berry.

It will be interesting to see who they cast as Captain America in the upcoming movie. /smallderail

I agree overall. I didn't "love" them, but I enjoyed all 3 and watch them again if they're on TV. But I haven't been heavy into comics or the cartoon show for a very very long time (when FFVII came out, I stopped watching TV and lived on PSX).

Iron Man news:
"Iron Man" director Jon Favreau thinks Robert Downey Jr. overcoming his troubled past mirrors the struggles comic character Tony Stark had to overcome to be reborn as Iron Man. '"He had to find an inner balance to overcome obstacles that went far beyond his career. That's Tony Stark."' Sounds like a stretch, but if Downey Jr. draws inspiration from his past to bring us a kick-ass performance, all the better.

Also of note is the absence of Iron Man's famous chest plate in the film. As you may be able to see in this picture below, Stark has these dot thingies installed on his chest so he can walk when he's outside the suit. Wasn't the whole basis of the character that he was a cripple outside the suit? Again, we'll have to wait and see.

FUCKING GAMBIT

No, no, just no.

I had a nightmare this weekend that they made a Gambit movie: but instead of being and action/adventure superhero movie, it was a light-hearted romantic comedy. And I think that one song "Roll onto Me" was playing in the commercial. I was so disturbed that I woke myself up to escape the horror.

But anyway, Marvel seems to hate Gambit, or at least crappy writers hate him and put him into all sorts of crappy story lines. In all honesty, I would rather that they kill him off than continue on the whole "he's Apocalypse's Horseman of Death" thing.

I thought X3 was the best of the X-Men movies (although they weren't all that great).
