Of course, every person here who doesn't read comics loves the movies. XD

I don't read the comics, but I do know a few things from them, and I didn't really like the movies. I don't like Wolverine and they focused on him way too much.

Who'd you rather they focus on? Cyclops, the "leader"-ish member of the X-Men who apparently is a big pussy and won't use hardly any of his actual powers and can only shoot from his eyes? Wolverine is one of the best X-Men, always has been imo. The thing that probably annoys me most is they made Iceman and Rogue big pussies, in X3 I did like how they made Iceman a little better, but Rogue is a badass (in the cartoons) and Iceman is supposed to be Omega level, so I don't see why they're so weak.

Let's name all of the X-Men who are more interesting than Wolverine, in no particular order:

Professor X, Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, Phoenix, Mimic, Changeling, Polaris, Havok, Nightcrawler, Banshee, Storm, Sunfire, Colossus, Thunderbird (I), Shadowcat, Lockheed, Rogue, Marvel Girl (Rachel Summers), Magneto, Psylock, Dazzler, Longshot, Forge, Jubilee, Gambit, Bishop, Revanche, Cannonball, Joseph, Cecilia Reyes, Marrow, Maggot, X-Man, Cable, Thunderbird (III), Sage, Mirage, Emma Frost, Chamber, Xorn (I), Stacy X, M, Lifeguard, Slipstream, Northstar, Husk, Xorn (II), Warpath, Omega Sentinel, Lady Mastermind, Armor.

    Even Angel or Beak.

I think my point is clear.

I find humans to be more interesting than Wolverine actually.

Generally drying paint has a more convincing back-story than Wolverine.

I don't know most of those mutants, at least not aside from name and basic powers, but how is Cyclops more interesting? He was my favorite X-men back when I was 10 but really he's not that great.

Because he is not played out like Wolverine. We know what Wolverine is doing every minute of every day. When he takes a huge dump, they compile it into a Trade Paperback. Wolverine's thing was that he was supposed to have a mysterious past, well now we've seen it, and it's not that interesting.

Cyclops is the way he is because of how dangerous his power is. He is repressed and a bit of a wet blanket because he can level a few dozen city blocks by blinking. In the hands of a capable writer like Joss Wheadon that kind of character can shine because he isn't a one-dimensional cliché who sells a lot of books because people don't realize that he is just an adolescent fantasy marketed to adults. Even in the hands of a capable writer, Wolverine will still be Wolverine because people don't want him to be anything other than he is already- the best at what he does. And that's market to fan-boys.

If they ever do a part 4+, they need to fix the Universe they are in

X-Men (all sequels included) did the same FUCKING THING Superman movies have f'n done, the bad guy is always the fucking same ><

Superman has fought Lex Luthor (Main Protagonist) is all of his movies, for FUCK SAKES, Superman has more enemies than him

Same thing with X-Men, for FUCK SAKES, Magneto (Main Protagonist) isnt the only fucking villian available

They way I would do the movie, is start a prolouge about how mankind has become deathly afraid of mutants, due to the humans not being on top of the food chain anymore, now that they are the inferior kind to the mutants

Some protect the mutants, some fear them

Then you see Xavier School with mutants training and learning

Colosus, Iceman, Rogue, Angel, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler in the danger room practicing, while Beast/Storm are teaching a class to upcoming mutants Sunfire, Mulitplie Man, Jubilee, Psylock, Dazzler etc.

You can continu the story from there to so many comic book story arcs that can be used, but most likely will get fn butchered.

Can go ahead add the Sentinel for good measure and have a mutant registration act scenario that can parallel real times with mutant profiling due to fear/hate/etc.

Show glimpses of what the X-Men are and how they try to help human and mutants alike, and show the other side (maybe a Brotherhood) of mutants that despise humans/non-mutants

Have some cool kick ass fights, some easter egg "characters show up on screen" (ala Gambit/etc.), try to show much more of the angst of being a mutant and not the lovey-dovey BS of being politcally correct, not to much love-triangles or couple counseling BS either

People can say what they want, the X-Men franchise made $$$, and thats all the producers care about.

And I don't know why they'd call it a Wolverine spin-off movie when the past 3 have been X-Men: Wolverine Takes the Spotlight 1, 2 and 3.

    A few corrections:
    1. Brett Rattner did not direct the 3rd X-Men movie, stop "blaming" him.
    2. Wolverine's past was in no way explained in the movies and is vastly mysterious because most of it takes place in either government mind-fuck programs or Japan.
    3. Those of you who want to see Omega Red in the movies dont pay enough attention to merit having an opinion. Omega Red was in X3, credited as "Kid Omega" he was the mutant that threw daggers made of bone out of his wrists when Wolverine was infiltrating Mageneto's camp.

All that said, I for one believe all the X movies with be less than phenomenal as long as Halle Berry continues to butcher the part of Storm. They should have gotten Iman for the part, shit she has the accent and everything.

    Kid Omega:

HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE, DON'T YA THINK?

Most likely Kid Omega is a smash of asian + WB's X-Men character Spyke:

Wolverine's past is explained in great detail in the comic world. If the movies were that amazing, I suspect that it would have compelled people to pick up one of the 18,000,000 trade paperbacks that explains in great details every moment of every day of Wolverine's life.

And please learn how to use the Wiki before making claims that other people do not pay attention. This is Kid Omega. As you can see, the character was misnamed and has nothing to do with the actual Kid Omega. This is Omega Red. As you can see, he has nothing to do with Kid Omega.

P.S. Ru Paul should have been Storm, and I am not joking. Only a man could play a woman that fierce.

In addition to the Wolverine and Magneto prequels, writer Zak Penn says he's writing a movie about the "young X-Men." Ugh. I'm getting visions of little X-babies voiced by Bruce Willis and Roseanne Barr.
