lol@ the PLDs who don't use their MP and people trying to argue Tarus are no good. The guy who said sometimes PLDs have full HP.. learn2cure other people. If none of that applies then obviously it's not a fight you even care about Chivalry so who gives a damn. You are arguing about some weak God fight when everyone else is thinking an AoE spamming HNM or soemthing.

You can argue that you know plenty of perfectly good taru tanks.

And I could argue that you put them behind a tank of another race and they'll be better off.

Statistically a taru is a joke of a tank, big deal.

Nah, I really don't know many good Taru tanks actually. Just me. Most of the tanks I have been around have been other races. I'll agree I'm even better with another good tank. Yea my HP sucks but that's it. You can argue whatever you want btw, it doesn't mean you will be right. Statistics only take you sao far if you don't know how to use them to your advantage.

my original point was that i only use Chiv when im soloing and/or my MP is almost bone dry. I used "enough mp to flash" just as an example. Then i got trolled by some dude looking for an argument.

yes i know aoe dmg, blm pulling hate and getting smushed for big dmg, blah blah blah... what pld dosen't cure other pt members for hate? It was pointless to mention that.

huh? I drop all my MP and use Chivalry everytime it's up in a long fight. different tanking strats for differnet people and ablities. If you don't care about the topic, be quiet. Don't make silly points and try to say shit was obvious when your point was the exact opposite.

*shrug* HP is overrated nowadays. It's useless for XP (unless you're a taru fighting spiders) and /NIN makes it nearly useless for HNM. Only fights where it really matters would be Baha v2, which should be stunned, and Ultima, which you can pretty easily eat with Magic-% and HP gear.

Anyway, gonna agree with the other taru. If you don't care about getting more mp out of your chivalry, just stay out of the topic. Just because your playstyle doesn't involve spamming MP to the point where you're still doing your job, and basically also playing an extra whm in the tank party, it doesn't mean that getting more MP back is useless.

In case you didn't notice, you can factor the equation into: MP recovered = TP * (0.015 * MND + 0.5)

This is good news for me... I'm Elvaan with 8/8 MP merits, lvl 3 Chivalry, upcoming MND merits, and MND gear from my RDM. I'm awesome.

To the OP, nice testing on the MND modifier but the MND modifier is/was no secret. Not sure where I read about it, but it was found out a long long time ago.

Awesome testing! This was very interesting to read about, and may influence my choice in stat meritting.

But I have to say... You guys have inventory space for MND gear? I run 59/60 nearly at all times.

Credit goes to Wottles on asura for this btw. He sat down one day and tested every single mod and did all these tests discovering it was MND based, then I mentioned it in the other thread.

Oi Phil tanks stuff all the time. Especially now that we can get enough whms at an event most of the time that he CAN come on pld.
