Geush Urvan - minimum setup?

Did anyone low-man this NM before? Wiki only giving the very old somepage info and nothing really interesting. Whats the minimum to kill it? I remember hearing rumors about Utsusemi not being able to absorb its hits and other shit. Anyone got a bit more info?

Asking this, because I got 2 Haunted Muleta rotting in my storage for ages now....

From what I remember doing this fight along ass time ago, it does hit through shadows. Its dmg per hit is also huge, and it criticals a ton for quite a bit of dmg (800 dmg i think?). Also one of the more annoying things was that it has a counterstance that does big dmg if it procs as well. Cant remember if it was stunable or easy to gravity. I'd imagine any low-man strat would involve kiting and DoT/Nukes.

I've never fought it, but I know you can't stun it, as it was apart of the whole "CoP pop NMs you can't stun" series.

Paladin kiting works good, especially in conjunction with a redmage.

Could do this with 2 if you're really desperate, but 3 would be better.

You need a plan for the adds too, which will respawn several times if you're damaging slowly with a small group.

Anyone have an idea about his HP or how reliable stuff like Gravity works?

If you can land Gravity fulltime or he moves slow, stuff like RDM+NIN+RNG might work...

I'd say PLD with Crimson , RDM, BLM if you're trying to small man ... I haven't fought this thing in over a year so I'm not sure if you could survive with that.

Hits through shadows and does about 1600ish damage on average for a normal, non-crit hit. On a non-PLD or someone without -% damage gear, it would do more, of course. So make sure you have a good tank and healer.

His HP isn't too horribly high, the fight is just a pain since hate is reset constantly.

Between the 900-1500 dmg hits (yes, through Utsusemi) and Snort (knockback + hate reset), everyone's gonna be getting hit at some point. He can't be stunned, and builds up a resistance to Gravity fairly quickly also. Then there's near-instant Bindga and Paralyga, and pretty fast BGA3, and the bombs and Molechs near the spawn don't help.

I've never done this with less than 12, but we did have better success with 12 than 15-18 and an outside party for adds, so if everyone is well geared and experienced together, you might be able to 6-man it. If nothing else, it'll be fun to try.

By far the easiest way is to use a bunch of beastmasters and pull him down to chuck raptors/bunnies/tigers at it until it dies.
