    Unuasual Lag

When i got my new laptop, Lag on FFXI was very low, I have an OK machine, not anything crazy, but recently I have been getting killer lag, very abnormal, whenever there are a lot of characters on my screen, or whenever Alot of stuff happends fast in game (I turn fast, or a lot of spells go off etc), I get a huge lag spike that lasts for 2-3 mins, then goes away. But the lag also goes away when there is nothing on my screen.

I mean, this might be normal, and I might sound like an idiot, but this is too unusual for it to be just normal lag. I've been getting below 1 fps a few times. yes, BELOW 1 fps.

I tried updating my drivers, and I did, but that didnt work. and my PC maker has no current update for my BIOS, so I dunno, can someone give me an explanation maybe as to why this is happening?

I've never had this trouble with my M1710, make sure it's not a software issue or something.
