EDIT: @Serif - exaggerating, but you know Culpepper & Moss would have put up insane numbers. Are you forgetting that Culpepper has the highest QB rating of all time? The glaring reason for that is Randy Moss. Go watch some highlight reels to refresh your memory of how sick they were. I can't, it just makes me cry.

I don't get it, if we still had Mosspepper, they would have caught up to Manning-Harrison's stats by now. At the very least, we have a strong running game to look forward to this season. Chester behind Hutch & McKinnie was sexy enough...and now? Mmmm.

The combine itself is overrated. Dan Marino can barely run 40 yards, muchless get a good time in it. Sure as a QB you still have to throw the ball but I think he proved that well enough in college in order to be awarded the heisman.

Hate the patriots so much.. all this and they took our Safety of the future in the draft ..i blame Reid for not trading up though.

..and the Stallworth thing, his agent hates the Eagles, it was no surprise at all he made no effort to get him back with us. There was also a problem with alot less cap room this year for us. Next year though, we should have upwards of 30M i think cap room.

Also, as someone else stated, we got an equally good WR in Kevin Curtis, the sky is the limit for him with a healthy DMac.

i actually didn't know they signed adalius thomas too...

compared to moss, i think that's the much bigger/better acquisition.

nobody knows if moss can get back to his golden days (many comments from those around him who say he's just not the same), so he's kinda hit-or-miss. not mentally either, but moreso physically.

getting thomas, however, is like winning the lotto.

They had years and years to capitalize on Moss and Culpepper. Obviously they couldn't do it, and the team was not going anywhere. Get out of your heads your little dreams that something would have happened.

Your only shot would have been in 1998 when Gary Anderson threw the playoff game. Doesn't miss 1 field goal the entire year, then misses the most important one, on like a 35-40 yarder. Please. I just wonder how much he got paid to miss that.

I agree with you in regards to Madden though, it is going to be sick.

I'm sure not many people listen to WEEI (Boston based sports talk radio station) but one of their comical spots during commercials is a clip from a call about Randy Moss from awhile ago. There was a guy defending him saying "People use that statement 'I play when I want to play' against him." A quick Dale Arnold replied "You mean like when he's in an NFC championship game after a 15-1 season and decides he doesn't want to play?" The rest of the spot was the hosts making fun of the caller and eventually convincing him to hang up before they hang up on him. Now Randy Moss is on the Pats... EEI should be plenty entertaining tomorrow at work.

One of the callers featured on the segments in between advertisements for The Big Show, sort of paraphrased:

"Hey Pete, now that Randy Moss is on the team, I bet you've set a personal record for the 40-yard backpedal."

It's funny listening to these guys try to worm their way around the callers as they have dirt shoveled on them from the grave they dug themselves. They're pretty good at it.

This makes no sence to me, the defencive improvements we've made since trading Moss would fit under the salary cap with Moss and Pep on the team.

I don't understand how you can say a team needed to be reconstructed, when they had carried the defence for so many years so blatently, a defence like they had the last two years could have pushed them over the hump.

I have to be honest, as a Packer fan, it is frustrating watching two good WRs, who are at least good enough to play the #2 WR spot on Green Bay, go for 4th round draft picks.

Greg Jennings doesn't cut it (at least yet). We need a 2nd WR to line up opposite Donald Driver, and Moss or Darrell Jackson would've been just fine. Somehow I doubt we would've missed the 4th round pick, considering we had 11 draft picks total. I'm sure Seattle would've liked much more to trade Jackson to Green Bay, where they don't have to face him twice a year, than San Fran. People talk about Ted Thompson and finding "high character" guys, but...we have Koren Robinson on our team, who has what, 3 DUIs? GB has a #1 WR (Driver) and like 4 #3-4 guys.

If Culpepper was still in good shape the Vikes would have kept him, but the man has weak knees and can't move or preform like he did in his first couple of years. The vikes got rid of him at a good time. They've kept injured players on their roster for too long in the past, good to see them shove their burdens onto other teams.
