Up your resolution, wow. I'm on 17"? widescreen and 1280x768 resolution, and the sig isn't very big at all.

Most do, but most not to the extent of what he described. The average player probably has several DAT edits, stuff like models, skins, animation swaps etc. I personally edit my Salvage DATs to speed up runs, get rid of unecessary killing, and my Dynamis runs to learn more about the area each time.

only icons and registry edits here, I don't want the game look like a ps2 game on a high end pc (erven though it always will, gg 30fps)

Umm... I don't think that someone having the modded elemental staves is going to gain an advantage over someone who does not. At least I doubt that the game operates that way...

I bet if you modded every dat to be as minimal as possible you'd cut out a lot of lag that other players would normally have.

I like my script macros, I like alt-tabbing to check FFXIAH, I like modifying my dats so that I don't ever see naked galkas.

I mod my font, just cuz it's nice to have something different.

I make custom backrounds for my windows, specifically entirely black ones so that I can see "BlahBlah wears off" in bright white against pitch black.

Whether you like it or not, this game has serious limitations BECAUSE it's a PS2 game. It should bloody be PC only, so I could have more storage, and I could have more macro lines. You whine about us having all these amazing tools, but in all honesty we wouldn't need to use half of them if this game wasn't restricted so you could play a good MMO on a shitty platform. Yes I have this game for PS2, it sucks serious donkey ass.

Modding dats? Friggin wah. Bots and POS sure, I disagree with to an extent. (Botting against RMTs knock urself out. POSing up Uleg Range/Newton Moval cuz ENM start shit is lame, yeah that's cool too.) But if you're gonna get your nipples in a twist because you're CHOOSING to play on a platform that doesn't have these things, when you could easily buy a shitty computer, dumb down the settings for the game, and have them also is ridiculous. It's just like whining about not getting ur AF from coffers because THFs were taking them for Astral Rings... owait...
