Those are just a *few* results that come up when I...oh I don't know...type in "parser" into the search function...
And im magically supposed to know what each one does and still works or which one has a nice layout for presenting results
How can you have 400 posts and not have heard of divisortheory's work on his parser in the last year?![]()
Show some initiative instead of blindly asking people for recommendations for such a simple question. "Magic" won't help you find which parser you personally like over another, but here's a hint - downloading one and trying it out just might.
One i have now doesn't workOriginally Posted by Ichthyos

Theres a few different parsers out there I dont know which ones are decent and are notShow some initiative instead of blindly asking people for recommendations for such a simple question. Then do some research. Read the posts about them, download them, try them out.

It does additional effects to the maximum extent provided by the game. in other words, no parser can really do additional effects better.Originally Posted by LinktheDeme

It isn't currently possible to parse additional effect as the log message doesn't have the user's name on it.

What I do is just apply the additional affect to the last person in the chat log who attacked something. It isn't foolproof, and in fact in the wake of a lot of battle spam it will be wrong a lot. But it's the best the game allows you to do. To get better you would have to have some sort of way for the user to say "apply all additional effects to this player", or "never assign additional effects to that player", etc.Originally Posted by Shuvo
Which would prolly work until you get that smn whose ramuh "Shock Spikes" happy.
Could the dialouge in the .dat files be modified to append the name to the front of each message? I remember my friend a while back had some corrupt .dats and it started displaying crazy text (e.g. You have 129830129831 minutes left in Dynamis, while he was standing around in Jeuno playing bard songs), so I think it should be doable?Originally Posted by divisortheory
