The first film was crap so i am not expecting anything great with this one, although there is that little comic fanboy deep in my subconcious that dies a little more everyday at all the terrible comic movies, i need to stop feeding it hope >.<

Silver Surfer ≠ Laurence Fishburne ≠ Morpheus

Laurence Fishburne certainly has an incredibly powerful voice, and even w/ just the one line, it sounded like the SS is going to at least be awesome.

People need to stop judging comic book movies by normal movie standards. I think only Spider-Man 1+2 (haven't seen 3), X2 and Batman Returns have really come close to being what I'd call good "normal" movies. Most comic book movies aren't after the Oscars, they're just popcorn flicks, and I don't think they really need to be judged harsher than that.

When I see a comic book movie, I ask myself, "was the action somewhat exciting, was the story anything like what I remember from the comics/cartoons, and did I have any fun at some basic mindless level?" The original FF movie was definitely not amazing, but it was serviceable to the characters and I def. had mindless entertainment from it. It wasn't along the same lines as The Punisher or Ghost Rider at least, maybe close to Daredevil (watchable) quality. Trailer for the 2nd looks like an improvement, so yippiekiyah motherfker.

I started watching this a week ago and I fell in love with the show, too bad they cancelled it after the first season due to bankruptcy...

Anyways the show is pretty accurate, they just changed some characters a bit, like Drax, Gamora, Pip and Adam. But Silver Surfer's history is pretty accurate.

Galactus looks freakin' awesome in the cartoons too

ima geek, i watched it a few times, specially when ppl told me galactus was a gas cloud. pause it and that satellite pic is of the surfer, and the movie cannot screw up bad enough to make an audience believe galactus needs a hellicopter to move around the planet(aka the man in the cloak). besides that man in the claok gets lit up by ss power cosmic(the shot of the claock guy vaporizing). ss cant do that to galactus. imo, galactus will prolly only be mentioned, and we can hope for an awesome tease of galactus at the very end aka Marvel Ultimae alliance (like i said one can really hope).

This is just my take on it, but the man in the black cloak looked awfully similar to Dr. Doom from the first movie, and refresh me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Doom try and turn the Silver Surfer to his side and get some of that cosmic power for himself at some point in the comics?

Doom was/will always be power hungry and im sure at some point(s) he did. If that was doom in the cloak, i dont know why they'd choose to vaporize him. but way back in the day they did drop the joker off of a building. people gotta learn you just cant up and kill a super hero(s) arch villian like that. id like to think marvel wouldnt kill doom in a movie, but i had the same thought thinking that cloak was very Doomish looking. ill just hope its not lol.

Who says hes dead and wasn't just absorbing some of the cosmic power? I know it -looked- like he was being vaporized but it could just as easily be him being knocked backwards by the power attempting to destroy him and then stabilizing. The clip doesn't actually show the man in the black cloak completely being vaporized, just what looks like the beginning of it.

The Punisher is one of the better comic book movies(marvel). Daredevil is by far on the "worst" side of things.. Ghost Rider being down there too.

what a waste of my money. The ending is very bad and galactus is badly portrait in the movie too. Only saving point of the movie is ya jessica alba naked body well maybe some scenes of SS talking
