    Xolotl... how the hell?

    http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...ggedxolotl.jpg

Around 30% it started doing this to us. Gala Macabre nonstop. Nothing we could do but stand there and get charmed over and over again. Don't know why this happened. But, thankfully, RMT showed up to claim it and kill it without it using Gala Macabre once.... Is there any explanation for this? I'm kinda stumped 'cause I've never seen it do this so much.

And you didn't pull it to an LS fighting Tiamat... why?

In all seriousness, that is pretty weird.

It was instantanneous Gala Macabre after Gala Macabre. It was like it had perma-Meikyo-Shisui. Only had about 4-5 people meleeing it (think 10 people there total). Really, once it started spamming charm, all damage to it ceased. People were just getting charmed and recharmed and not able to hit it at all. Couple people tried stealing it then got owned by all the charmed people. Once RMT showed up, they sacrificed a couple people to those that were charmed so the rest of them could kill Xolotl. Was really a stupid way to lose ><

Wow, I've killed this thing many times and watched it killed when we didnt get claim probably just as much and I've never seen it do that before. I've seen it killed normally, seen it killed using pets, seen it killed while kiting summons and seen it killed while constantly killing and rekilling the summons, etc... but never seen this. Seems like a bug, sucks you lost it though.

Sounds like he learned a few lessons from Long-Bowed Chariot.

Did you (lol) call a GM about its behavior? That is not normal mob mechanics.

Do gilsellers camp it on your server (or anyone elses) or something?

I don't really understand why they would, just assuming they happened to be around and decided to kill it.

Because it has 0 money drops? lol Tiamat and Xolotl aren't really comparable, one actually has money drops. Gilsellers on my server don't touch anything unless it can drop money.

I don't see a real purpose of a gilseller wanting to set out to camp something like Xolotl every day, just like we wouldn't see them camping rare/ex Ochui Kotes, or Bounding Boots, etc. Most gilseller groups don't even waste time with Roc/Sim as much as they used to now that the best drops are rare/ex, other than some that still kill for a chance at Dama ingot.

Unless they kill it so that people can't train it onto them when they kill Tiamat.

I'm betting they had 5 people using KCs.

Isn't 30% the threshold for a mob to have to use TP if it has it?

after 30%, generally a mob will always use tp the very second it gets it. very irritating when faf/nid just won't lay off pulling back to back wings. what it LOOKS like is that he somehow had his TP jammed at 100+. thus, every time the game went to him to check his behavior action, it would succeed in the if(hp<30% && TP>100) check and pitch a TP move. i can't really say why he chose gala macabre every pull though. you'd think he'd switch it up throwing silencega or MAB one of the times. still, the 30% was probably the trigger, but he may well have been stuck at 100+ tp the whole fight. regardless, that's some messed up stuff right there. funny, retrospectively, but sucks to get jacked like that.
