I'm still kind of amazed that you were ganked that much on azshara. Maybe it was the <death minions> tag, you have to admit they were probably as disliked as the frenchies were by the horde.

Yeah it didn't surprise me when Angry Mob did it, because of all the shit-talking from my old guild leaders. JMS was annoying as fuck though, I can't count the number of times that I'd be level 40 and MULTIPLE 60's from JMS would gank over and over.

Honestly though, it was more random ally instead of specific guilds.

What really sealed up the move from PVP to PVE was on the night of TBC release when Cirenia and I were waiting in line at EB Games. We were talking with a ally Naxx guild and sharing thoughts about the game, happened to come up in conversation that we got ganked alot and their response was a unanimous "why the fuck would you roll pvp? just go to battlegrounds, being forced to run around flagged is retarded" to which I couldn't agree more. Up until that point all I had heard was the "pve is for pussies lawl" comments, then realized they all came from people that NEVER farmed and were always broke so I stopped listening.

idk, 1k gold doesn't impress me (yes, not even pre-TBC) but I'm sure you also had a guild full of people online at all times to back you up when farming. Since BG had 5 70's within like 6 days I imagine that a large quantity of you play 16+ hours a day ya?

My guilds are like... 2-4 members on at most times unless it's a raid, sorry if I prefer just to farm by myself in peace. LIKE I SAID, i'm free to BG/world pvp/flag whenever the hell I want...and I do that often, just don't like being forced to.

On a good day, quite literally, I play 3 hours a day. I really just don't feel like having to deal with alliance during that time. I like to be able to login for 60 mins, make like 200g and then logout. That, to me, is a game worth playing. Not being camped by warlocks that can just fuck with my prot ass for hours at a time lol

yeah definantly not hard to make money in the game with some effort... or even leveling.

I woulda had a epic flying mount already cept all that money went to spellfire and spellstrike gear ;/
oh and leveling enchant+tailoring

drop tailoring. get mining or herbalism, and 2-3 weeks later you'll have a mount. its gay and mind numbing but its worth it really.

Seriously though I dunno why I haven't replied to anything here, only thing I can contribute really is that some of the most fun I've ever had was world PvP spur-of-the-moment skirmishes. Guess it goes back to playing UO, and genuinely FEARING for you life and the possessions on you, that made that game just so fun to play. Playing UO was like walking through the bad part of your neighborhood at all times, constantly looking behind your back. It sounds annoying and at times it was a little much, but without risk, accomplishments have little value to them, and UO really proved that.

Hell in that game if you didn't run back to your body soon enough you lost ALL possessions on them (or most...I know it was really bad). I remember getting ganked outside of a cave that had an Arch Lich that we had just taken down, and we were rushing to the safe border when a buncha guys portaled in and fucked us up hardcore, took most of our gear. Luckily I ended up rezzing and taking their portal back to their home and got in some good ganking later on. Shit like that you don't forget, and its definately a different crowd that will enjoy those aspects of an MMO. Definately not the casual kind.
