I thought this wasn't possible? We did Ouryu earlier and someone successfully stuck sleep for a good 45s while he was flying. Bug?

Probably a bug because from what I remember, sleep in the air can land but will wear off immediately, as though it had a DoT spell on it.
This is what I've always seen to be the case as well, but then tonight...so yeah. If it's never happened to anyone else though, must've bugged.Originally Posted by Suiram
When we manaburned Ouryu (CoP mission) we slept him in the air three different times. Worked every time.
Pretty sure the weak-ass CoP Ouryu isn't in the same category of rules as the full powered CoP wyrm forms. OP, I'm chalking your experience up as a "bugged" outcome.Originally Posted by Carbon
Ive seen wyrms been slept in air before, rarely happens though, most likely a bug.
Same, seen it on Tiamat twice. The second she woke she just "dropped" instantly to the ground and didn't do the normal AOE damage on landing. She was technically already on the ground but still showed in the air. I think the sleep has to land juuuuust as she's starting to drop.Originally Posted by IDontNothing
COP mission Ouryu slept like a baby in the air w/ my gimptastic BRD/WHM with about 2 CHR on and no food, I think I slept it like 4 times (twice in the air).Originally Posted by Hapernack
I've seen it happen on ouryu, and it wasn't just landing because it flew as the person was ES sleeping, its possile it started flying the second sleep2 landed though.
second on jormundgand. someone tried to sleep it in the air for reasons i'll never comprehend and he hung there. first thing he did when he woke was land, though i didn't notice if he did touchdown when landing.Originally Posted by Raineer
This is how Ouryu went for us as well, dropped immediately after waking up, but no Touchdown.Originally Posted by Spekkio
Doing the real Ouryu we'd heard he couldn't be slept in the air, but it stuck for a full 60 seconds while we re-grouped.
