Also, do either of you know if the scene near the end where Jin is pierced with like 3 swords was bloodless in the Japanese version too? I saw the sword impale him and my first reaction was, "no blood..." He would've been guzzling as he lay there dying. Do you think hes definitely dead too, because chaos was confident that they'd all meet again, and after the credits has a line like, "it seems we still exist because the universe wills us to", and I couldn't help but wonder if Jin would've been revitalized in that time shift.
Whenever religion comes into games, the big trend always seems to be finding a way to "release the shackles" that bind mankind to their oppressive overseer. Some people are easily offended, but I love that kinda story, and thought Xenosaga did a great job bringing a lot of elements together. Shion made a comment near the end of the game, saying that even though Wilhelm's methods might of been wrong, she could understand his reasoning. I love when by the end of the story I almost see the heroes as the villains.
The way the game ended, I could totally see how they could expand it to 6 games, by introducing a new threat and creating a second trilogy of sorts.
