Also, I was wondering if there's something else to it than just the mob family? I mean maybe resistance to some type of damage for example? I kinda felt like if I was fighting a stone golem, normal weapons wouldn't work on it even if they have a lot of affinity towards it's family?

Yeah, it is a bit silly. I have a 63 Human short sword at the moment running around fighting enemies and hitting them for 0. I have to prostasia myself and then degenerate and tarnish them before I can actually kill them.

It's annoying if I break the chain for a second they fucking cast prostasia on themselves and I have to re-enfeeb and blah blah. It's horrible with such a small MP pool and limited supply of items to even get through the normal areas in some parts. Especially if you have to backtrack.
