The point Xavier is making is that he too admits what he did. He owns it. He said it himself, and people love re-posting the screenshot as if he tries to hide it. You're right that it's not that different, in principle.

Where the line is drawn is that you, people like you, and apparently your whole LS (despite their vehement claims to the contrary here, while asking what delay to use on your forums) actively encourage people to cheat, RMT, and bot. You actively, maliciously, and unapologetically put forth maximum effort and incentive to ruin the game for other people. That's far and away from paying RL money to a person in your own LS who you have known for a long time to get an item that person owned. Same concept, completely different circumstance. If you can't understand that, and can't see your own hypocracy in lambasting Xavier while you yourself give advice to your fellow LS mates on how to cheat, well, you're just as dumb as you look.

I always find it sad when like...shitty people try to justify being shitty by pointing out that other people are shitty too. Hey, you know what? It doesn't change the fact that you're still fucking shitty. It doesn't make you less shitty. You're just not alone in being shitty.

If you had any balls at all you'd either own up to being shitty and be done with it or walk away from the conversation entirely. But trying to drag someone else down with you (especialy when they've already long since admitted and shown remorse for the action) just makes you eve MORE shitty.

ive been botting since day 1 and i have eluded the last 10 or w/e SE banninations.

i have just recently stopped using ffxiapp when 5 of my LS mates got dinged

the creator of ffxiapp was recruited to the LS to help claim against another LS who has the creator of K-Argus(argus replication duh)

we believe that SE was scanning a certain zone (in this case bdom) while we were camping and found a number of our players claiming the pop before the mob was poped. most of the banned players told us on alt's that they were told that the packets coming from those characters were suspicious.

none of the K-Argus players got dinged because they werent in the zone. we have recently reformed an alliance with them to trade king camps after each king pops.

You know for awhile I was under the impression that you didn't care about RMTing but after reading this post I'm glad I was wrong about you. An old friend of mine used to camp Boroka for almost 2 years and he made ton of gil off it seeing as we used to camp it everyday all the time. During the big xmas inflation, I was making about 24 million in gil a month off that mob. My freind during the middle of last year tho got into an auto accident and was injured pretty badly.

Money was tight at the time so he ended up selling a huge chunck of his fortune to pay off a medical bill. He was around 800 Million from two years of camping that mob seeing as he never spent his gil on a lot of stuff. He later regretted doing it saying he had become what he most hated which was of course RMTs.

Sadly now Boroka was finally taken by RMTs around the middle of last year and the drive he used to have to camp it is gone. It was fun camping an uncontested mob for so long. It paid for my DRG THF SMN RDM and DRK gear in spade but I wish I'd had thought ahead in terms of knowing prices would die off or I would have sold off a ton of my shit and even be more loaded as I am now.

Point being since I'm running off into a tangent is that people do make mistakes and there are those who will condem you for them no matter what you say or do. It's just not worth the time to argue with people who live in a perfect world because in their eyes, you're already cast out of heaven.

Edit: Just to clairfy I have never RMT'd, Cheated, Used Hacks, or even have a copy of Windower. Hell I don't even use Dat mods. I'm probably one of a rare people left that hasn't really done anything to ffxi in terms of altering it in anyways.
